New CEO is turning out to be the same as the old one. Cut ,cut, cut. Since revisions (cuts and more cuts) the numbers going off sick due to injuries are going through the roof. Many are soldiering on waiting for ops on the NHS . Flogging a dead horse springs to mind . Part timers were promised increased hours , to then not be given them or be given far less than 1st promised. Our CEO is losing the troops fast.

My guess is he still thinks the share price is cheap.

Tracked up 16.4% on August in our office from last year. Specials stable , letters up and d2ds up massively. August is normally very quiet but not this year. Looks like we could be very busy in the run up to Christmas.

You can have as many new parcel hubs as you want , but if you don't have the manpower to deliver it on the front line then it is a waste of money. We have a CEO that is saying , we must expand and take work from rivals , but a board of directors saying cut cut cut. We all know that in some offices there is plenty of reason to cu t back. Other offices that are already cut to the core ,despite large amounts of new builds going up ,are still being told you must cut. At some point , I can see the CEO ousting a few of the old guard from the top and bringing in some like minded people.

No reason whatsoever, volumes up with one of the busiest August's for years. Costs being cut in offices and managers being grilled to make savings. The share should be flying.

It has been that way for the last 3 or 4 days Big Fatty. Nothing as wierd as a Royal Mail share.

Mike. I think that Pauly's failure in life is the reason why he is so bitter with it. Only a clown would stick with a job he hated so much. I post with the knowledge I have at my finger tips. You really are clueless Pauly and todays figures prove that. We have been lapsing for years in the summer. The revisions will save Royal Mail millions . This is a share forum for people interested in buying and selling shares not a forum for moaning farts to air grievances against Royal Mail. Each time you post you make a bigger fool of yourself ,as you are clearly ill informed at work and are clueless when it comes to business. You also post exactly like a certain Yam Yam.

No Evr's on delivery . With the number of workers now confirming permanently working from home , it's boom time for royal mail. Deliveries and collections.

No sorry Pauly but even with tests we are up. 38 tests out of 1426 tracked. A drop in the ocean.

Difference is Pauly. There are less posties going for a walk on a Tuesday due to more lapsing, saving Royal Mail even more money. Today was rammed with parcels . Tracked and Specials figures were up over 10% on last year. Yesterday was light for mail and packets yet Tracked and Specials were up on last year. The difference, nobody isolating or shielding compared to last year but no overtime compared to last year. Overall less costs for similar amount of work.

I think the word Trolley explains it all.

Like I said Ray. MOST offices aren't summer lapsing yet. My guess is that your office is having more sorters than needed, and that way getting you out early so enabling you to lapse more. I can only go on the traffic figures . Our figures on specials and tracked are up on May to May figures and June so far is slightly up on specials and slightly down on tracked. D2ds are up on last year and so are letters. Like I've said before, the difference from last year is we are fully staffed, making it seem easier.

So your normally really busy in June Ray. The answer is no. Normally you are picking up extra summer lapsing , which in most offices isn't happening yet due to traffic volumes. It's also been noticed that mail centres have failed lately ,and those that haven't have been dumping mail through, hence the large number of missorts in offices. Mail is also arriving in DO's badly mixed including numerous Specials in normal mail, and tracked and standard packets totally mixed. Its easy to say mail centre cleared when it's not sorted properly.

Mail centre failed one day last week due to volume and our figures are on par for last June. D2ds up though. Like I said before, the only reason you think we were busier last year is because so many staff were off.

Not sure where you are getting your figures from Pauly but it seems a number of people are stating we are far quieter than last year. The figures in our office for May are that we delivered 25.7% more Specials than last May and just over 10% more Tracked. Letter volumes were also up by over 20% helped greatly by a certain religious group that are sending 10s of thousands of letters every day (stamped) because they can no longer knock doors. You think you were busier last year because we had no staff where as now nobody is shielding , furloughed or suffering from covid.

Some of these clowns are hilarious.

Looks like some profit taking today , with much lower volumes traded. Was expecting a bigger fall , before a climb back next week.
