We are doing a large drop of testing kits to all the schools plus tier 4 for most of Britain can only mean one thing. More revenue for Rmg.

New workers already started, costing more to employ than us , due to agency costs. They are only allowed to deliver parcels. Just one problem . No Van's for them so some are using cars and them that have Van's, have to keep returningto office because the Van's are too small. They are already working to the max . So when automation comes in, who is delivering all the extra parcels? There are no plans for any extra staff than we now have.

Automation is great Oli , huge amounts of parcels being processed at vast speeds. Just one problem. Who is delivering them . Posties are working to the max on delivery, Van's are full to the brim, staff expected to absorb more and more , everytime a full timer leaves , at best a part timer replaces them but usually it becomes another walk to lapse. Moral on delivery is at an all time low, staff have been going flat out since March, they cant be expected to keep going like this. Managers are constantly on delivery to cover lapsed walks or staff shortages. Those at the top have one answer, whip the carthorses even harder. Time to invest in decent staff , proper training and also get rid of dead wood, which cant happen whilst managers are out on delivery all the time .

Amazon are investigating its delivery drivers over playstation 5 consoles being replaced in transit. Customers have opened boxes to find anything from pans to toys inside. Can't see the government awarding the contract to Amazon .

The cwu haven't threatened anything Crystal. All they have done , is said talks are going well and the good results , means royal mail are in a better position to pay a wage rise.

They didn't Oli. They now only need 1500 to go . 500 have either left, retired or been redeployed. Others that were managers made up have gone back to being posties on delivery. That's 500 redundancy packages saved. So great news all round(except for the managers that wanted an easy pay off)

Excellent results. Remember the names of the bull****ters on here and at work that claimed we were losing 1 million a day/week. Take out the 50 mill ppe plus the huge amounts paid out for sickness cover , add in the 2000 redundancies now only being 1500 due to natural wastage , then things are looking very rosey.

We are already collecting them from houses Kettle. Have been for months. Also all postboxes , even though it should only be certain boxes. Unfortunately the public dont give a fudge about putting posties at risk and dump them in any box. House collection, they are very appreciative of what we are doing.

Cant see anyone but RMG getting it. Amazon have already proved they cant handle it. They failed with the original delivery and collection set up where as Royal mail have consistently performed on Collection. We have the staff already in place , Amazon dont. Amazon are offloading parcels on Royal Mail already because they cant cope. It would not look good on the government to hand the contract to Amazon.

This is very old news from a political party that most posties wouldn't touch with a barge pole. Steve Score taker of the photo was sacked by Royal Mail at least 2 years ago , with the unions blessing.

Callers offices opening hours, are about to be extended a bit longer. If royal mail announce a 500 mill loss, then they are cooking the books. Just like last time they did it, followed by a huge profit the following year. Not sure how they can lose 500 mill when 2 months ago royal mail stated they were losing 1 mill a week.

No problem with the extra work through parcel pick up, the problem is that many deliveries due to extra lapsing , are now up to time or over. You can't keep adding work on whilst still cutting delivery people. Without people doing overtime or working days off the rounds would never go out in our office. Every other delivery business is recruiting staff to expand at the moment. Royal Mail is reducing staff to expand. That makes no sense. Once winter sickness kicks in , the deliveries side will collapse. It's alright for those that are working in mail centres and driving to say, great idea, bit it's making no difference to them. Many deliveries are now also doing 4 to 6 d2ds a week , something that also doesn't affect mail centre workers and drivers , yet you still get paid for them.
