In my office it's the older senior staff that do all the work , do the job properly and dont cut corners. It's the younger/ new starters that cut corners, dont deliver d2ds , swing mail and take time off when it rains , or constantly claim, childcare issues. They also constantly moan about how hard done by they are, forgetting that we have all had to suffer the same as reserves. Then there is the constant overclaiming for overtime.Reminds me of a few on here.

Mike , its says the maximum is 5 collection points per round up to a maximum of 5 items, TO START WITH. So in time ,more will be added. All this must be done at no extra cost. Great idea if you are only at an address for a minute, but I'm afraid it will be alot longer than that, when customers are putting wrong labels on packets , trying to give you more than 5 and your checking you have the correct 5 .anyone who has worked in a post office or callers office will no exactly what I'm talking about. Trying to explain to a customer that the label is a dpd or Hermes or yodel label they have put on the item and that we cant take it , becomes very tiresome and time consuming.

News today is that Amazon cant cope with deliveries and are redirecting 30 lorry loads of parcels through our delivery network this weekend. If they cant cope now ,a hell of alot more will be heading our way with Amazon Prime day coming up.

Oli, with d2ds going through the roof all of a sudden , and the vast profit made on them, things are looking very good.

With a large new tracked contract for mobile phones just starting and our office having its largest d2ds numbers for over a year, plus places going into lockdown again, then add on people being encouraged to work from home again, it wouldn't suprise me to see the share price go through the £3 mark before the end of the year. Talks will have to continue in the right direction also.

It's not 7, 1 hour briefings each , it's to 7 groups. It's to do with EVR, clocking in , the increased length of delivery, indoor revision , plus PDA actuals, parcels etc.

With the increasing number of parcels plus large increase in lats and expected sunday delivery , cant see any job losses coming, some may have to change shift patterns though. Most offices are already running with numerous vacancies.

2 large new door to door contracts also signed in the last few weeks.

Beetroot juice, shares dropped when Royal Mail made the false claim , we were losing £1 million a day, just to strengthen its negotiating muscle. We all knew it was bull and wasn't possible due to the parcel traffic. Hence why many Royal Mail employees increased the amount of shares they were buying at such a low price.
Managers have now been told to rein in the overtime, which has been slashed heavily over the last 2 weeks and push ahead with extra lapsing,more parcel machines have started to be used and my prediction is a slight loss at worst by the year end figures. Not bad considering the huge losses other companies are making.

Broch, the trials were well publicised on RMTV , in The courier and management briefings. They even mentioned when 50 , 100 etc offices had gone through the revisions. All in conjunction with the union . Walks have been made longer, and parcel only deliveries reintroduced to include clearing up Lats . Full resigns have taken place in all of the offices. Managers have briefed it again this week. If you dont believe me, speak to your manager, he will tell you all about it. Those revisions have stopped in larger offices and strong unionised offices but are carrying on in smaller rural ones , and implemented as long as staff are happy.

Broch they were full revisions , planners brought in, walks cut and full re signs using PDA actuals . The PDA s were only fully turned on in the last year when the new data was downloaded, so how can you have been doing it for 3 years. The 1st trial office only started 10 months ago. The trials can be signed off in an office if nobody objects to the revised workload.

Over 200 revisions already done Broch, using PDA actuals . Once the trial revisions were finished, they were rolled out straight away. Managers are given traffic figures and then allocate, indoor workers to whichever area they are needed. This occurs from the minute they walk in the building and sign on the pda. They have only stopped rolling it out in unionised offices in the last 2 weeks. Smaller offices with no reps and little union membership are still going ahead.

With automation already going in and a number of office revisions already completed , plus industrial agreement close , I think it will touch £2-50. Many more positives than negatives at the moment.

Oli , I thought it was this week , but was informed it is Monday. Surprised the share isn't up today for a quick profit Monday.

Oli , our office and information exactly the same as yours. We have one person off now UNPAID and another on furlough. We lost very few in the 1st place , one tried to pull a fast one and isolated. Then she thought she had it a month later. Isolated again on no pay.
Work still very busy with some houses having 6 or 7 parcels a day instead of 1. Share scheme buying Monday , so should increase again.

I've come to the conclusion Wolves Posty is just a wind up merchant or Wolverhampton Do isn't part of Royal Mail because they have different rules to everyone else. Why would anyone work for a company that they think is white, and moan about it day after day. Loads of other delivery jobs or shop jobs out there, for you own good , apply for them, unless of course you already do .
