We have just spent 2 weeks sorting mail centre mail in our delivery office oli due to them being unable to cope.

Team DHL is back spouting his wise words. 2 months ago he was saying exactly the same and that shares would be £3. Embarrassing.
We were up 72 % on the same day last year.
DPD driver arrived and said they were dead as a dodo.

Tracked at our office yesterday, was the most we have ever had and were up71% on last year. Anyone else have such a massive jump?

Parcel volumes are up. The reason some mail centres are quieter than last year is because we have more mail centres and more automation. The figures coming through our delivery office so far is Specials and Tracked up about 10% in November and December. We are now receiving large amounts of Amazon that they can't cope with.

Unfortunately Ghord , Royal Mail haven't found the magic cure for covid. With large numbers of posties testing positive , some of them hospitalised , it has ment rounds don't go out. So sorry that those that have been run ragged for the last 2 years , keeping the country going and delivering and collecting your covid tests don't meet your standards. Will you be saying the same about nurses , drs , paramedics etc that also aren't giving the usual service they provide. Your share holding will be so sadly missed.

Teamdhl your a clueless fool. The government didn't contribute anything they took money out. If a private company had done it they would have been in court. But then if you had done your homework you would know that. Up to now you have made a right tit of yourself. Still no examples of these mass strikes you keep talking out your arse about.

Teamlh , I think you have spent too long reading the Royal Mail hating Telegraph for too long. Name the last strike, name the last industrial disruption? As for pensions, like I said . Labour and Tory governments payed no money into the pension pot for years, cutting posties future pensions in half. Why should we be grateful for a pittance of a pension that we have worked and paid for. Just to add I'm not a Labour man. Unions have a place to protect jobs and negotiate on your behalf , the rest of its socialist crap isn't supported by most posties.

Sorry Teamlh but I don't really think you have any idea about Royal Mail and its staff. Industrial action has been non existent for years. The odd localised stoppage usually due to someone being unfairly dismissed due to bad management. As for a well funded pension. Whilst under Labour and Tory government nothing was payed into the pot, which has resulted in posties having to pay more in for a peanuts pension at the end.

Angersharkz. Our office is running at an increase of over 15% on parcels at covid levels not pre covid levels. We must be 40 to 50 % up on pre covid days.

Unfortunately JB the answer is no. In our revision not one part timer got full time hours either. Usual poor management.

JB ,Figures have been massively up for the last 4 months in our office. I think it's wishful thinking that customers are ordering early. I think its more our workload is booming if you look at the rise in mail also. Will we cope is another matter. I think they need to bring in the xmas casuals earlier , and keep the decent ones on after Xmas. Been running understaffed for too long now. Understaffed may boost profits in the short term but it won't look good over time.
