Sunday delivery has already started in many areas , starting with one company . Free doorstep collections has also started , trebling the number we were doing before. Quite a few from customers previously using Hermes. Win win situation.

With large numbers of local and mayoral elections being held this May , plus Police commissioner elections , Many councils doing postal votes only , I would be expecting a very good start to the next financial year. Long term share price onwards and upwards.

When your not paying tax and national insurance plus still getting a free share , that is a 35% return . Dont know any banks that offer that . So definitely keep buying.

So far this year Special deliveries in my office are up 31%. If this is happening across all offices then that is a bumper revenue for a premium product

Oli , all mailcentres that are attached to delivery offices have callers offices open on a sunday and have done for about 3 years. There has never been any mention of Letter delivery on a sunday and never will be. Parcel delivery yes and covid collections yes but this will continue with a small number of volunteers and them taken on over the last year with potential Sundays written into contracts. Mail centres may end up having large numbers working sundays but that will make no difference to deliveries.

It's already a 7 day a week job Oli, has been for a couple of years. Callers offices open Sundays, parcels delivered Sundays and now boxes collected Sundays for covid tests. The number of staff needed is minute , and quite a few of the latest starters have had Sunday working put into contracts. So no major shift of 7 day working whatsoever. The only major shift will be parcel drivers meaning larger rounds and clocking in and out. You can make the rounds as long as you like, if your already working to your time , it just means work will be brought back. The major changes will be in mail centres.

If I remember correctly Scamp , you said exactly the same about striking and job losses when Rico was appointed. The only job lost was Rico's and it didn't even need a strike. The CEO has once choice , work with the union and take the company forward, just like Simpson was starting to achieve or fall flat on his arse like Rico did. Previous CEOs have found out the hard way. Royal mail has a delivery workforce that has gone the extra mile for its customers for years , pulling in extra work through good will and keeping the public happy, you break that goodwill at your peril.

I thought Stuart Simpson seemed to be doing a good job. It's a shame he didn't get the job permanently. I guess we will be back to another clueless idiot that just wants to cut cut cut instead of expand.

Not sure how you can reduce numbers in delivery when there isn't enough workers to deliver the mail now.
