Well the CEO leaving requires an RNS. So it seems he might just have gone AWOL or had a nervous breakdown. Or he’s gone on the run. Either way, if the CEO has bailed out it probably tells us everything we need to know.

Guys - if this does have a mini bounce, it might be your opportunity to get out. I recall MEAL bouncing for a good few days when it was done for, before then falling back massively to virtually zero and being delisted.

Unbelievable number of buys vs sells. Yet SP remains utterly decimated. Methinks it's the bondholders bailing out while us mug PI's take them off their hands.

What happens next?

Best guess:

1. share price will hover around 0.25p, maybe drift a bit lower

2. RNS to say that in light of the news today the strategic update will be delayed

3. Shares will be suspended

4. Months will pass by before it's confirmed they've been unable to secure funding and the company is bust

5. Those that have orchestrated this will then buy it up off the administrators for next to nothing and make out like billy-o

I'm in no doubt this has been orchestrated. Bond holders selling out as quickly as they can, JV falling through with no effort from the CEO to soften the blow, including today.

It all looks so obvious in hindsight.

Joking aside, it does feel like we are trying to swim uphill here. Lots of buys from PI's supporting the price, and then you get a kick in the unmentionables from a BH who sells and decimates the SP.

Doesn't look like too much selling? And that 1.5m buy has just outweighed all the sells put together.

WhiteMan - if MATD ever pay a dividend, it will be years and year away IMO. These types of companies usually either sell out or try to grow big time. Again, a very different company but look at TXP and the recent news there.

I maintain that on the positive news we are all hoping for, the SP will spike quite a bit past where it eventually settles around, before consolidating and then perhaps slowly moving higher. Again, look at the likes of GGP. I'm betting a good/lucky trader will be able to make a packet if/when this damned signature is finally penned.

Bladderman, maybe. But no BOD would let the cash run down to a few weeks worth before doing some kind of cash raise. They do it in advance. It’s one of the sh1.tty things they could drop on us in the update. I hope not. But if hypothetically it’s clear production isn’t going to hit 2k bopd soon, then they’d have to put plans in place and not risk all this going down the pan by not being able to keep the lights on.
