I guess you've nailed it, ol' buddy. Maybe my pessimism with anything AIM dampens my "conservatism" as you call your approach. You've bought in further and I sold a couple of years ago (at profit) then bought back a little less than my original holding. It might well be a very good idea to keep some funds ready to hand in case there is an attractive offer to shareholders.

With regard to your spelling (see your" RE: Twittery thingies" posting)....I reckon you'd do reel fyne in West Virginny.

Friday seems to have become a regular time for tidying things up over my side of the pond (or taking a break at Mar a Lago) so I'm not surprised our sp has stalled. On a personal note I am still just in profit here but most of my other stocks are in the doldrums which I believe is due to various European "ripples" and of course Brexit wrangling. Then we have that other elephant-in-the-room....tariffs....whose effect nobody here seems able to quantify for the longer term. Our media has it that, if anything, some corporations are making money while a series of interest hikes are causing concerns for the housing market.<br /><br />Either way my money is tied up (as I am sure is the case with many others) which means that even if Ariana were to offer me some sort of share buy-in I would not wish to take a loss on my other holdings to raise funds to purchase more AAU at this time.<br /><br />If this situation is a current "norm" it could well reinforce Odonnell's point (earlier today) that fresh buyers here may choose to take profit and move on. The same might be the case for those lacking further patience to stay the course here for "tomorrow's jam festival".<br /><br />Have a great Weekend, folks.

Very good interview and bodes well for future earnings. For me it's all about "distribution" and rewards for investing. Perhaps an alternative to a "divvi", in the interim (as it were) might be an appreciation of loyal shareholders by way of a scrip issue perhaps....say one share for a (discounted) price of 1p for every 20 currently owned?. Kerim gets more cash towards next year's drilling. It ain't really going to hurt the SP for very long because there is clearly a Silver Lining in clear sight soon, n' est-ce pas?

However General Motors were undergoing many "culture" changes which resulted in the total demise of Oldsmobile, Pontiac and Saturn. Buick so far has managed to "hang in there". Ford dropped their Mercury range around the same time and I don't have a lot of hope for the future of Lincoln in the face of current competition. But, of course, Trump action could screw anything anywhere right now.

The Saturn had an interesting history and you should "Google" it. Their "plastic" vehicles became very popular to pull behind a large mobile home ( caravan?) because its fwd didn't need to be disconnected (or front wheels lifted onto a dolly while being towed). 15 years ago my (late) wife owned one. It was very utilitarian, uncomfortable, and prone to overheating in our desert climate. One had to switch off the a/c when under load (like long climbs up mountains).

Production increased by 6% over last Quarter. Share Price decreased 20%. I sense something amiss.

There have been hopes that Ariana share price would reach 2p by Christmas but more recently 1.5p is being quoted as perhaps more probable. But right now I am not sure that we will even get that far unless there is some outstanding event very soon.

1.5p would mean that I have had money locked here for several years but it would still be the amount of my total investment. At 2p I would make a small gain. Right now I would incur loss.

Our BoD have sliced off some reward for their transformation of this Company from explorer to producer (and potential money earner). But in the process they have incurred some anger/frustration/disappointment...call it what you will from some punters.

Gold is not the ultimate "security" any more - to be hoarded under ya bed. Ordinary folk are too focussed on the basic priority of living as best as they can. Maybe some promote "having a bit of fun" in their routine just a little too far, max out their credit and can't afford to purchase gold in any form. . The other case for gold was to offset any demise of paper currency. Three years ago I was very embattled on various shares discussion boards resisting folk who (sometimes gleefully) lauded the end of the US dollar at the efforts of the Russian Federation, China or even most of Opec. Well the dollar is now riding even higher and the gold price is no longer at its previous peak.

On the face of what we know, Ariana is on course to produce more and more gold. But at what cost to get there? More shares issued? Money borrowed? Bigger salaries/options/emoluments? All these things could adversely effect our own investment. I hear the cry.... "Just be patient a little more". How many years is a little more? ....and for what? To be sold out when the bosses have a chance to move on?

imho this is why there is no overwhelming demand for these shares by PIs and perhaps we are not big enough or have not shown enough "growth" for Institutional Investors to participate. So there has to be some attraction othere than that infamous "Jam Tomorrow". Which is why I recommended just a little jam now. The directors got their's - so maybe a wee dividend is indeed a higher priority than the next drilling because it could establish perhaps the most valuable asset of all ....Shareholder Trust.

• Saudi bookings at Trump Chicago hotel have increased 150% since his election
• Saudi Arabia rents rooms at the Trump Washington DC hotel for it’s ambassadors and lobbyists
• Saudi Arabia rented space in Trump’s NY hotel for the Crown Prince
• Jared Kushner is being investigated because of a suspicion that Saudi Arabia either gave or guided money to his company to pay off large debts

Consider just these few Political decisions Trump has made since taking office;

• to withdraw from the Iran nuclear deal that Saudi Arabia opposed
• to look the other way when the Crown Prince kidnapped some of his family members and took their money to consolidate his power
• to support Saudi Arabia with US military and intelligence as they fight in Yemen
• to sell them billions of dollars in military equipment.

I most certainly agree with a recent opinion I received from a "Facebook" source as follows:.

• the US government and the presidency are for sale
• US policies can be bought
• Clear signals are being sent across the world to despots and dictators…America no longer cares

Yep, John, Fat cats at the cream again ...that's why I have "inhibitions" with AIM embryo miners predating on the lifetime savings of unsuspecting novices merely trying to earn somewhat more in shares than bonds or building society interest might produce.<br /><br />I watch our PBS News over here - that's Public Broadcast and is generally truthful reporting without strings to politics. They suggested (after further consultation) that to-day's huge decrease in stocks was a "correction" which has been on the cards for some time because the index has risen too quick rather than a change, say, from a bull to a bear market scenario. It hit what they termed "technicals" mainly - the likes of Facebook.<br /><br />VanVan - You could well be right, My own domestic American/Canadian mine shares actually went up quite nicely today (around 3.25%) .<br /><br />Happy Day indeed 'coz I just got my Lloyds Bank Group interim dividend (NYSE) into my bank. Off to Sin City shops tomorrow with Mrs and maybe the gourmet & wine store (lol)<br /><br />

John - No argument with your last posting (10.59 PST today). Would love to respond in detail about tRumpo but I got castigated previously for daring to be political and changing the tempo of this particular board. Anyway...you started so I WILL respectfully suggest this. In the USA it's all about "following the money". It ain't bribery because it's called lobbying. Once rid of government controls and regulations, Big Business don't have to shell out to meet environment or humane/social limitations. Corporate Wealth and some very rich individuals have bought and paid for Trump, Ryan, & McConnell. These latter have perhaps a limited time to reap their own crops too. That's the way the cookie crumbles. Pence is somewhat different and imho with his perfect composure, dress and evangelical posturing he is perhaps the nearest thing to a homemade American Taliban....just waiting for Trump to get ousted and his own chance to sit on the throne.

Don't hold your breath about our Leader's wings being clipped by the coming midterm elections. Yes, I wish but then I thought that the feminine reaction to the proposed appointment of Judge Kavanaugh might have forced a re-think.

Sorry, Folks, but I couldn't finish as my last para kept being cut off, for whatever reason. So here's the rest....

....and money started to come in.

Quite a large amount of debt has been paid off, it is true. Most certainly Directors and workforce have brought this about by personal competence and sustained effort and that should merit recognition in terms of pay increase.

But what about me? I believed and invested in Red Rabbit to gain a "multi-bagger" win. Instead I am being presented with a much greater complex....Salinbras etc etc.. Furthermore I could be waiting many more years to see profit now. Not what I envisaged and the reason why I pulled my money out of Sirius (SXX) which could well go beyond my own life expectancy before things come to fruition (or the whole complex structure collapses through debt or technical costs along the line). So the bottom line, Ariana, is to start giving us punters some divvi....just a few quid will do for now to demonstrate good faith with the promise of more as things continue to develop and debts paid off.

Don't worry about hostile takeovers either...It's too vulnerable right now if that was likely. The best deterrent is to get the share price rocketing up. Regards, DJ

John - I recommended the paying of a dividend here (and on the other board) but on the basis of sooner than 2020 to encourage trust again after what imho was an unfortunate direction taken by our BoD when the first gold pour should have been a crowning glory after several years of eager hopes and anticipation. The damage was done and the SP stalled.

Wikipedia describes this sector of stocks thus: " AIM (formerly the Alternative Investment Market) is a sub-market of the London Stock Exchange that was launched on 19 June 1995. It allows smaller, less-viable companies to float shares with a more flexible regulatory system than is applicable to the main market".

For many of us it offers a chance to buy lower-priced shares (for pence rather than pounds) and I must admit to a certain greed which motivates my hopes. Such hopes can soon be dashed or uplifted by the direction the shares are moving and one cannot help to be disturbed and even swayed by the opinions of others herewith, especially those who have been regular contributors over a period of time. I do not believe that so-called "rampers" and "derampers" actually seriously move the daily sp but they can certainly sow doubts or stir hopes, especially among "newbies" to these stocks and specific discussion boards.

Yes, we have trolls who enjoy aggressive chat and regularly "stir" the pot. We also have some very loyal Company followers, many appearing to be highly experienced, well-heeled and savant. What always needs to be born in mind is that the stock listed on AIM does not exactly come under the same levels of control and scrutiny as say the main LSE (or NYSE). Put another way...it's rather lax at times and rogue directors/firms have done very well out of unsuspecting punters. "We have a lot of "minnow companies" and it's a bloody long way to the Sea of Plenty. Be warned!

If anyone needs a lesson, just take a look at the charts, over 5 years (or as near as you can) of AGQ, WRES, HER,
RLL, CNR, JLP and our own AAU. They have all had strong champions and disappointed investors at some stage. You can judge whether or not there was/is a "jam tomorrow". Either way most of their shares are much lower these days and folk are quite reasonably upset. CNR is especially interesting because it was hoped to sell the company at profit after proving there was far more gold reserves than what a previous (Soviet) survey had determined. The bottom line is that there is far more gold....underground....and ready to be mined. Unfortunately so far for the last two years or so there are No Takers and the owners were never really keen on taking on debts to develop themselves.

I bought into Ariana because I felt Dr Sener had clearly stated the road ahead and it became clear that Red Rabbit could be developed into a mutually profitable venture. Sure enough things went ahead, on time and as indicated and we went from entrepreneur to explorer to constructor and finally to producer and money started

That 11% rise unfortunately does not appear to be sustained at this time which makes me think it was a flash in the pan with perhaps a bit of "engineering" to balance the unrest from the steerage class punters who haven't got to taste any cream this year. Never mind, eh, 'cos there is sure to be jam coming soon.. Sorry - I'm not savvy in this world any more 'cos I don't do LinkedIn,Facebook or Twitterings but Number 45 President Mushroomhead (or is that a toads tool?) makes up for my absence though. Maybe he'll put some money in here or slap some tariffs on Turkish Delight.

Having a lazy day over here, VanVan. Still too damn hot ( a stinkin' 105F) to be out on my sailboat but I suppose I should be thankful we don't get the hurricanes, tornadoes, floods, bugs, gators and, yes, 10 feet of snow in my part of the country. We don't make wine either but there's plenty good vintages close by in California and further north too in Washington (State) Columbia Valley. I especially enjoy their Rieslings and Gewurztraminers. You can get absolutely fabulous wines from Chile & Argentina 'cos South American vineyards are reputed to never have suffered any blight. But with more recognition and fame has come much higher prices these days. Huge tracts of land are now being prepared for vinicola in the Mexican State of Sonora while in Baja California there are well established wineries (tasting tours too!) in the Guadalupe Valley convenient to Tijuana & Ensenada.. Definitely not "plonk" but it's rather more expensive that similar US offerings. Anyway I do keep some Iberian Marques de Riscal , Marques de Caceres and Marques de Pombal for good measure. We gringos still appreciate your euro nobility so obviously I have Baron Phillipe de R's Mouton as well.

I'm rather pleased that the concern for the SP is gathering a lot more momentum but after several years of patient investment in this Company I disagree that it is "our fault probably for buying in too early". Our SP was beginning to swell upwards before imho a misguided decision from the top prioritized a borrowing ahead of a (then) postponed first gold pour. Thereafter the bosses got into the trough for themselves and serious damage was done to them and the firm's image which I do not think has been mended at the present time. Right now I'm not sure anyone is even carrying bargepoles! Having said that, Plas, I am absolutely in agreement with you about wanting nothing to do with character assassinations on these discussion boards. They are pointless, trolls obviously expect and enjoy responding to them and I believe such exchanges equally diminishes the status of the parties involved.
