As for AAU...there is history there too and disgruntled posters. Right now I reckon we are all very much aware of what this Company is doing and has in mind for this year and, for the most part, the feeling is one of satisfaction that PIs are being regularly informed and everything appears on course for successful developments and hopefully share price increase over the next two years. Sorry, Noel, but I am in Daisan's camp and I think you need to lighten up somewhat. I suspect you are at the very least a septuagenarian but I sincerely hope in fair health and active. If so I suggest you get yourself away asap to somewhere sunny and cheerful and fill your glass, dance and enjoy life. John - I meant that when I got to bed you would be waking by the time the result of the Westminster voting came through ....all of which would be about 20 hours after I submitted my posting.. In fact I didn't get to bed because I had to travel overnight through nasty cold drizzle and poor visibility (my road goes up a few thousand feet and the clouds had come down!) to take a relative to Las Vegas airport. The good news is I bought a few frozen curries up there and brought them back in my cold box. I also snatched a full brekky around 5.30am on the return journey and paid for it together with 10 gallons of fuel from the winnings I'd just gained off the slot machines in the same restaurant.

The European Commission has just announced an agreement whereby English will be the official language of the European Union rather than German, which was the other possibility.

As part of the negotiations, the British Government conceded that English spelling had some room for improvement and has accepted a 5- year phase-in plan that would become known as "Euro-English".

In the first year, "s" will replace the soft "c". Sertainly, this will make the sivil servants jump with joy. The hard "c" will be dropped in favour of "k". This should klear up konfusion, and keyboards kan have one less letter.

There will be growing publik enthusiasm in the sekond year when the troublesome "ph" will be replaced with "f". This will make words like fotograf 20% shorter.

In the 3rd year, publik akseptanse of the new spelling kan be expekted to reach the stage where more komplikated changes are possible.

Governments will enkourage the removal of double letters which have always ben a deterent to akurate speling.

Noel - two replies of mine were completely cut out. The first was an attempt to come back at you whereby I was enquiring (tongue-in-cheek) whether your Santa story emanated from Daily Mail or Fox News. in4cedros - I think that was a "miss"on me somewhere. Amurrrrrcans go with somewhat different humor but we all loved Benny Hill and Absolutely Fabulous. The original UK Fawlty Towers was far superior to the US remake. We usually just "don't get" your British passive/agressive comments....like "it's not too bad" to us means it might be just acceptable when you folk are really politely saying it's a load of crap.

Talking of Brexit though (and noting john's possibility of increasing his stake in AAU) I am ready to increase my own holding if Ariana stock dips and right now I shall be carefully watching what happens in Westminster this week and especially if things move to a need for a "Plan B" within 3 days. It might be the last chance at bargain price since I feel we shall soon be seeing a series of encouraging RNS from the Company.

Jags got a bad name for rot and reliability my side of the pond although here in the South West they suffered less in our dry frost-free environment. Their status-symbol rather vanished too when Ford stepped in. The "tasty" ones were the SS100 and the Mark V in my book.

John - I have three bank accounts, Barclays, Bank of America and Banco de Bilbao. I started my stock investments while I was in UK and appointed Barclays to deal on my behalf. I also followed chat boards, especially Interactive Investor (ii) , and eventually got influenced to invest in Arian Mining, a Brit firm with, imho, some real shyster Welsh directors and I heeded the warnings by a minority of posters and got out just in time before the fiasco of their Mexican venture. Thereafter I have been somewhat wary of hype and ramping on these boards and investing in oilies and miners, especially in Latin America, Africa, China and the Russian Federation but a Turkish mine with "English-speaking" principals looked hopeful and its name, Ariana was adjacent to Arian on many listings etc. I have other mining interests but they are in USA and through my US broker, Ameritrade..

The problems I have experienced have been reluctance by UK brokers to deal with US residents, primarily I believe because of the rules and regulations insisted upon by the United States Treasury. Certainly Barclays had enough because they summarily cancelled my Barclaycard (credit) almost the same time they advised me they were excluding me from their brokerage. At that time Selftrade (then basically French-owned) were the only UK-based broker who would accept me and I am still with them today and very satisfied. LSE declined.

I haven't had any problems with overseas share trading but the US Treasury watches us rather closely and there are tax advantages applicable to dividends from US registered Companies and also foreign companies if they are recognized and trading on NYSE (including Lloyds, Barclays and many other larger corporates). Unlike yourselves, I can claim for the UK Stamp Duty Reserve Tax paid under our "foreign taxes paid" allowance. The bad news is we do not get your Capital Gains allowances and our taxation starts with the first cent of any profit.

Dibs - So say something new about AAU then...but do bear in mind that we have all seen updated info, lots of speculation and the share price is currently static. VanVan - Maybe you would be better off sticking with the marque you have. Having said that...a Cadillac CTS might pleasantly surprise you (but go for at least their 3.6 version). Maserati gained much praise in its "youth" but then got mixed up with Citroen and latterly Chrysler-Fiat (who have damn near already murdered Lancia). I shudder to think what one would get charged in Las Vegas for service and repair. As you say it's a lot of car for twelve grand (dollars even for a 2010 model here). What I find interesting is the very low mileage when they are offered for sale as opposed to the very high mileage of similar year Porsche, Mercedes, BMW and especially old Saab 9.6. I would love an almost millennial Bentley Brooklands - you can find a 40k miler for around $25k in immaculate condition and history but somehow I don't think I would get away with the $50 I usually pay for servicing & checking over my Ford Ponycar every 12,000 miles.

John - We do have Maseratis in Nevada, but generally they stay local in Las Vegas and the big ranches around Reno and Lake Tahoe. The only thing that goes bang is ya bank balance ...if you buy new. Second-hand I suppose they are indeed a "lot of bang for your bucks". Locally there are some cherished older Chrysler-Maseratis like this one advertised on eBay:

However thanks for your "carefully worded" views and I do concede the man still has millions of supporters including the majority of my neighbors and local inhabitants.....most of whom are financially very comfortable, own lotsa guns, drive pickup trucks rather than cars and have little time for anyone who isn't a WASP. Ya'all can look that up. (my observations do not apply to the 25% or so "worker bees" here who are somewhat less affluent and speak Spanish ...but that's another issue)

However the overall response by our readers did not exactly rally to your cause and so you got miffed. Now you feel you are entitled to some sort of satisfaction. Good luck with that! I believe, incedros, that initially I was supporting your views about directors' '"bonus" and further suggesting reasons why shares (including Ariana) were not moving and I opined that, in part, the causes were Trump's policies together with the uncertainties of Brexit. A hint that trading matters twixt US and China might be resolved has immediately moved many shares upwards while in UK, just today, a hint that Brexit could be delayed has similarly caused sterling to rise (and I have taken the opportunity to move some funds across to my US bank). . I'm not especially seeking to convert ya'all to Democratic idealism but, with respect, I'd hoped to explain our system of government to any poster who may not be familiar with it because it is vastly different to yours. Consequently if the system is being abused (which I frankly think it is) there is reason for concern worldwide as it could negatively reflect on commerce and shares. Incidentally Trump was not elected purely on votes because he got around 3 million votes less than Hillary Clinton and you can all DYOR on allocations and also the infamous "gerrymandering" which has plagued US elections for years.

Politics inevitably intrude on most chat boards and you have mentioned the LLOY (Lloyds Bank) as one example. That particular board as well as the similar site in ADVFN has been a source of knowledge and amusement for me because of the OT subjects interposed and in total contrast to Ariana sites which are often quiet and rather uninspiring while awaiting essential info. Over the years dic ( = Richard from Rugby), who you also mentioned, has been a "riot"....especially with his tendency to "get into his cups" before posting and his dreadful spelling. I had serious differences in opinion with him about gold matters and Chinese/Russian/US ambitions but his views about solar arrays motivated me to invest and I rapidly made some useful profits (now invested here)..

My own recent post was truly somewhat flippant and I am surprised I didn't receive lash back ...but that might have encouraged me even more to take the "proverbial" out of any adversaries. I have had years of experience in the "university of life" and verbal excrement just flies off me like water off a duck.

I have admitted to being a Democrat but the Trump regime imho goes far beyond integrity and honesty. Specifically we have seen interference by a foreign entity and that is proved. What so far has to be determined is whether or not there has been mischief perpetrated or encouraged by the Trump organization or family interests.

Additionally the whole spectrum of my Republic's government is based on our Constitution whereby our Founding Fathers sought to introduce a tight system of checks and balances. This is being abused by leaders who have steadfastly refused to allow motions, debate and thus perhaps voting by our representatives in Washington which was clearly heading for the sort of totalitarianism which my country has deplored elsewhere. Accordingly our most cherished values and our system of justice are under threat. That has not been the way of either Republican or Democrat leadership in the past. On the presumption that the President of the United States is generally considered to act for the "free world" it follows that his (or her) behavior will have a direct effect on world trade, currencies, agreements, peace. war, the stock exchanges of this planet and ultimately Ariana's share price and possibly even its existence. & profitability!

Fortunately the recent establishment of Nancy Pelosi as House majority leader might encourage our lawmakers to get back on track. Nancy has the experience and self control to command respect right across the system. She is genuinely a very successful businesswoman, a multi-millionaire and does not resort to the sort of bullying, foul language and unsubstantiated comments we have seen from Number 45. Hopefully this will be recognized and respected right across the establishment and the current "nonesense" will get curtailed.

Anyway, as I have suggested previously, how US politics work out (as perhaps a whole series of investigations come to light) and how Brexit (or Bremain) comes to fruition could well move currancies and/or stocks up or down. VanVan has steadfastly championed the cause for Kerim and Ariana whereas I have tended to cautionary notes and, I guess, the "half empty"glass ...based on many personal disappointments with AIM minnow miners over the years. I truly believe that Ariana may indeed prove to be a very good investment and, hopefully, sooner than later.....but we don't need political distractions either in Turkey or worldwide. I envisage, for starters, 2p this Easter and 3p by next New Year. Thereafter I'll look to VanVan !
