Hi Paul D and I appreciate your concern for my health. I guess I shouldn't complain. Everything is functioning normally but, with a slight touch of diabetes unfortunately I cannot enjoy alcoholic drinks or red meat anymore. So visiting family and guests have enjoyed my former stocks of good wine and liquor. Over here there are just too many "fast food outlets" and most TV dinners from stores may be satisfying but I preferred being in the EU (or UK) when the nastier ingredients were not acceptable.

Additionally, if our news has it right, the is a move towards devolving local government over there. In my view laws intended to protect the rights of minorities can just as easily upset indigenous majorities and lead to riots or worse.

My personal view of the so-called Labour landslide is that a helluva lot of people were motivated to vote principally because they so much wanted the Tories out of Power.
