RE: RNS21 Jan 2019 19:51
Noel - Good point about the effect on our share price ....we'll know in about 13 hours or so. I sincerely hope dcgc has interpreted things right.....but ???
John - Yes, I actually set last Christmas for my decision whether to "stay in" and accordingly I just managed to buy more shares before they increased in value by New Year ....so close in fact that I wasn't able to acquire all my target figure even though my broker had been funded. So I still have around £3k unspent and ready for any appreciable drop in price.
However I confess I am rather unnerved by this latest development. Is it just ignorance or incompetence or something more sinister rooted in this Company? I admit I am inclined to pessimism and distrust. To date we had our hopes dashed when AAU caused a dilution immediately before the first gold was poured. Then the directors got virtually what amounted to a hand out, which drew some adverse comments on several chat boards. Then criticism of their choice of "agents" with the Beaufort Securities thing. All these were kinda excused by posters here (and elsewhere) by suggestions that this Company was technically brilliant but somewhat naive in PR and administration. My own big concern was whether this was indeed the case or whether we might be getting into the all-too-frequent AIM scenario of a potentially scheming BoD helping itself to the creamtrough at the expense of the private investor.
All of which seemed reason enough for me last Spring to set myself a target date to decide whether I would stay in or get out (Gawd - sounds like Brexit ....ooops,... sorry in4cedros)
Consequently these last three RNS are worrying me again. Firstly they got their numbers incorrect and then it's almost like a kid went into a candy store, ordered up a clearly priced chocolate bar and then found he hadn't enough money with him. Bloody unbelievable, innit? How professional is that? ....unless, of course, the mind is distracted by the route to that trough and everything blooms in springtime - including perhaps an AGM.
Oh how the rampers will hate me. Earlier trading saw plenty of "sells"- imho opportunist profit taking. Mid day trading was about equal sells/buys but later trading was all "sells" perhaps (pessimistically) forewarned? Remember, folks, this is AIM ! Beware the Ides of March?
