Cobus Loots, CEO of Pan African Resources, on delivering sector-leading returns for shareholders. Watch the video here.
Landuhh, your point is political though. It is on a list of kremlin talking points given out to their troll farms.
By regurgitating it you are participating in Kremlin propaganda.
'Make dumb brits believe that military aid is causing them higher bills despite being well within previous quotas'
One that previously worked for example :-
'Make dumb brits vote themselves out of Europe by buying up media outlets and convincing them that brown people are taking their money and that Europe is to blame' came straight from fsb via Dugin and worked a treat rocking a strong europe to the core.
Sometimes on this bulletin board- I feel like I am strung up, surrounded by cardasians and an interrogator is trying to get me to say that there are 5 lights when there are only 4. I feel like I'm in an alternate reality composed of Kremlin issued talking points. A reality where those who are being attacked can be blamed for it, using the circular justification that the victims where fighting back and therefore that justifies the attack.
A bizarre unsettling cognitive dissonance where everyone seemingly agrees that there are 5 lights even though I can objectively see with my own two eyes that there are 4.
Ford 'we have a choice to be helpful'
We are literally being helpful. The UK announced aid the day of the quake and debated it in parliament. I have DEC people collecting money at my tube station.
We are sending air ambulance to turkey and funding the white helmets in Syria who are more than experienced at pulling bodies from rubble.
Haven't you noticed? What news are you watching to not know this? Do you not go out?
I question if you are genuinely interested or just trying to make a point.
I apologise to the board for my very off topic anti- wu mau rants. Just hate one sided mistruths being parroted like facts.
I too am feeling a little pain here with this contraction of airline shares.
It does seem to be across the board for airlines with EZJ down 5% so I am presuming we can break away from this minor correction in the run up to results day. Unfortunately my funds wont allow any more averaging down. Good luck everyone.
Swingman - Bush and Blair will one day face punishment for their crimes.
However, the point I think you are trying to make is the following :
Man A murders someone 20 years ago. Heinous crime. Very bad. Man A is obviously wrong.
Man B - now has the right to also murder someone. Because man A did it 20 years ago.
This is your point?
Lol@ford +tricky. Tag team wu maus.
Clumsily and distastfully conflating earthquake humanitarian aid and military aid to a country being invaded - because they are obviously mutually exclusive. All despite the fact that we are demonstrably doing both?
Despite your assertions that the news is 'all about jets' it is , in the real world where most of us live - quite opposite. The news is dominated by harrowing images of the earthquake in Syria and Turkey. So why would you assert any different?
In any case Russia needs to fail at invading its neighbours or they will just continue invading its neighbours. Not sure how you cant understand that? Nothing to do with Nato. It was almost dead until Putin resurrected it.
Its certainly going to be an exciting couple of weeks! I reckon we could start to see some wild fluctuations as the last of the shorts battle to save their positions, while on the other side the traders start to pile in to catch the upward surge for quick buck ahead of results. All we need is a few more brokers to revise TP upwards and we could see a whirlwind of upward sentiment.
Tempted to try find the peak and sell, to buy back in again after.
Pathetic sensationalist subject line from OP and pretty weak deramping. This party pooper will affect nothing in the markets and spook no one.
The 'balloon incident' is nothing more than pathetic posturing on both sides and if anything, shows once againt that when it comes down to it both sides dont really want conflict and will do anything to avoid it.
A spectacular own goal from the chinese military revealing a lack of coordination and communication. Widespread mockery in China at the use of balloons and a broken opportunity for some well needed talks.
An equally woeful response from the US. A decision process hampered by bipartisan politicisation of events. Where there should have been an immediate and rational centrist response there was jockeying between two extremes and we ended up with this kind of delayed ridiculous spectacle of a powerful fighter jet heroically popping a balloon - with a vastly overpowered missile as a bizarre retroactive show of strength. All this despite the fact that any reconnaissance data of nuclear sites would have been instantly transmitted back to china. If ever there was a visual metaphor for the predictable tit for tat sino american interactions it was that - a pathetic balloon being popped and withering down to the ground.
It is very much business as usual as far as I can see. Petty provocations and petty responses. Sad for the world but not a concern for business such as IAG.
China opening is orders of magnitude more important for SP.
I'm very busy at work, but still watching the sp like a hawk. Nice to see it is buoyant and any minor falls are made up. Guess mr Shipman has more coffee runs to do now that the bosses are asking people to come back into office working. Queuing in pret a manger and picking up the dry cleaning is quite time consuming if you need to do it for the whole trading floor.
This board has become almost unusable. I filtered this person but their posts are so prolific that everyone else is talking about them, day in day out, to the point where that is the main subject every single day. It reminds me very much of BB - although he could string together lengthy rambling posts. This person however only seems to be able to disagree, report and quote post histories. Very boring and tempted to leave this board. There is little in depth SP discussion- any posts attempting to discuss SP quickly get derailed by infantile 1 line accusations.
So, it was always expected that smaller airlines would struggle through this period. Many predicted that more would go bust in fact. The idea of investening in a big multinational like IAG is that they would fair better in a competitive environment and would actually benefit from the collapse of smaller competitors. Sucks for the people that booked with flybe, but in terms of impact to IAG - there isn't really any negative apart from a temporary knock to sentiment from traders. Investors know the long term - the reduction in overall capacity will get absorbed and spread out among the survivors - which only means more bookings.
I disagree. He is not our lovable anything.
He is exactly what he accuses everyone else of being - a disruptive troll. I would be happy to simply ignore him if he didnt insist on abusing the report function. He obviously has a lot more time than everyone else and can afford to spend hour mass reporting people with alternate accounts forcing the mods to ban active participatory users.
I hate censorship- but this is one instance where I believe anyone with a brain should report his disruptive posts so that the board can carry on discussing SP rather than this clown.
Where has all this sudden indecision come from? Trend is up. Results to come within a month. Brokers starting to lift their TPs to the 200+ ranges. Improving operating conditions. Effect of Asia opening. War fuel costs decreasing and stabilising. Bumper forward bookings.
Even the dreaded media-led recession that everyone is insisting on , is looking weaker and weaker.
This has months of gradual upside written all over it in my opinion. I'm going to experiencing that indecision at about 200 - but not 170.
