Rainbow Rare Earths Phalaborwa project shaping up to be one of the lowest cost producers globally. Watch the video here.
Ed, what on earth are you banging on about mate? Nothing good has come out of Putin's war for anyone. All he has done is prove to the world that his ground forces are embarrassingly ineffective and that he is only really capable of indiscriminate murder from the sky. Nobody wins here. He has also created a very difficult economic situation for the world, which could NOT have come at a worse time for china. Forcing china to revise their 'no limits' language and abstain from all votes rather than actively vote with Russia. If it was all smiles in public, it is most likely very strained between xi and Putin behind closed doors.
Been avoiding this BB to concentrate on work, and also to shield myself from the constant psychological onslaught of the doom merchants. But what can you say? Everything was looking up post covid and putin decided that peace and stability just isnt an option. I'm down by a fair amount, but owing to a 137 average , I'm not actually out of pocket by much. However I am still optimistic on this share. I took the opportunity to top up this week at 133 - only small tranches that my meagre income allows but doing what I can to take advantage of this sustained slump and grow the pot while it's down.
Plenty of good news to come for this share I'm hoping. Only time will tell if we can have 6 months where there are no new global catastrophes. Good luck all.
Ford I think you have very different idea of this war. Russia just invaded a sizable neighbour on the whim of its totalitarian dictator with clear aspirations to create a russian empire.
That people in the west are concerned is pretty understandable. If he wins this he will not stop there. His finances and influence would be bolstered.
Russia is losing personel and kit daily. With a near unlimited supply of stinger anti tank and anti aircraft missiles supplied through eastern Europe to Ukrainian army, his will get bloodier and bloodied. He needs to control ~15 million fighting aged men armed with shoulder mounted rockets- with 100000 russian men in tanks and aircraft.
Not all of those 100000 men will be behind this war for long. Attacking a neigbour for little clear reason other than the will of one man is not the same motivator that fighting for the freedom of your country is.
This is likely to go on for years if not more unless someone within russia takes him out first.
Undoubtedly bad times for this stock.
But very unexplainable reason why stocks are low - war makes markets nervous and raises oil.
That also means there is a predictable finish line. This war cant go longer than three months.
Analysts agree IAG has a positive outlook despite debt woes and rising oil prices.
This war is horrid, but people are still going to go o holiday, which means there is a disconnect between the SP and the real future value of the company. I'm gutted I didnt at 180 a mere few weeks ago, but not panicking about these predictable lulls. Going to try hard to free up dry powder - at SP this low it's rare chance to get back in.
'Just keeping it real '
By incessantly spamming this high traffic board with doom predictions at a rate of 1 negative post per minute. That's surreal if you ask me. Inhuman.
Do you not think that this share has a future past 1 week? Why not balance the negatives with the positives. All your posts point to short term trends. Can you not see past 1 week?
If people sell now after seeing your constant posts they will do so at a massive loss and for no reason. Now would be the very worst time to sell. Just giving money away to the market.
If you are so concerned with 'keeping it real' why don't you consider the real world effects olthat selling at bottom would have on investors.
I'm tentatively hoping we are seeing some kind of bottom here.
I think we are going to see minor drops when pictures of fighting come out and possibly more everytime Putin appears on telly to announce his next move.
So difficult to call this close to results. I think any results that are flat or postive will drive this sp back up, possibly peaking at 180. But no where near the 200 peak I was counting on.
Riding out the storm as this share will head north eventually. Putin probably has a few more cards he can play which will knock SP again before his cronies run out of money and start to think Navalny's little heart hands are looking mighty tempting right now.
Speaking of north, I see our our own one has given up any pretence and is now out and proud to the world as a bonafide, card carrying, died in the wool deramper.
Congratulations bro, must be a big relief. Everyone suspected but at least now you can eye up those shorts without fear of Shame and reprisal.
Interesting to see the motley fool releasing multiple articles over last week ramping the share.
They have previously been bashing it consistently saying to keep clear but now they have 3 in row ramping the share. Maybe a sign of the markets changing their stance and getting ready to cycle back in.
Ok botbot. I love to see people making these predictions but you cant just pull a random number out without justification.
Any reasoning behind the 220 figure? I think it's way too high worh war but I do think we might peak over 200 if good results.
Agree. Putin has made his move- war. We have a new normal and the markets love normal. All the posturing was damaging the share price because traders were reacting to a perceived future reaction to confirmation of war. So now the worst has happened they will all pile in hoping to catch the up tick. Its sad to analyse the markets in this way when there are displaced families and kids being woken in the night by shelling, but that is the reality of how markets react.
The 'war' will be BBC front page news for weeks, but it won't touch SP. Oil price will , but only to a certain extent. Hopefully IAG can pull some magic out of the bag and give positive results.
Emerald, I too don't think Putin won't invade. However it won't be because Putin is worried about his credibility in Europe. For the last 15 years Putin and his advisors have specialised in 'say one thing, do the complete opposite ' style of politics. It's a style designed to keep your enemies completely confused and in disarray.
Is filtered_Blue still wasting his days away searching for flakey paint articles to try to make everyone sell?
The market will soon get over war talk. The reaction is always much worse than the actual business impact because of the high number of day traders who use this share.
I'm more worried about results day, but I think we'll be fine and could be surprised by a potential recovery better than expected given omicron
