RE: watching Trust pilot4 Dec 2019 11:44
I also looked at Eve Trustpilot review figures after comparing Eve against Emma a few months ago. It does appear that Lemming99 is correct to say there's an increase in sales but can I add a word of caution? The problem with the figures is that (good) reviews come in bigger batches three or four days apart and so, all of a sudden, 10 good reviews will arrive in a few hours. Bad reviews seem to arrive one-at-a-time (bad reviewers still bought something :-). But if you choose a period which includes a large batch of reviews on day-one and large batch on day.. 40.. of your period, it makes a big difference and so comparison is much harder. I found that there were under 3 reviews (2.8) a day in a two month period in the early summer, and then rising to 3.08 reviews per day to early Nov.. I'm still waiting for a longer period for my next calc! So sales seem to be increasing which is great news.
HOWEVER, when I looked back to the time James Sturrock took over, before any of his changes were implemented, it looked like there were nearly 5 reviews a day over a two month period. I did this a while ago and didn't keep the scrap of paper with exact figure.
I'd be the first to hope for an increase in sales, and review numbers imply an increase – and obviously costs have been cut substantially by JS. I'm not even sure figures can be compared to reviews numbers 18 months ago; people can buy at Argos/Homebase/ etc and leave a review there now, rather Trustpilot.
