Hopefully, the Airlines will make very public the fact that UK Govt owns 49% of NATS and is, therefore 49% responsible for the incurring of £100m costs. Oil and Gas share holders are already being robbed by UK Govt via the EPL and now Airline share holders indirectly via this NATS fiasco. And has the top brass at NATS resigned or been sacked.... ? Lol LOL LOL!!

The Govt owns 49% of NATS so should contribute 49% to the cited £100m compensation. Willie Walsh is well versed in all this so I'd imagine a lot of discussion will go on in private, etc... Rishi Sunak's and Labour’s shadow transport secretary, Louise Haigh's comments re this fiasco, both placing all the onus on the Airlines, begs the question as to how much intelligence and knowledge do these so-called 'leaders' actually possess !!

Labour look like getting into Govt soon, along with their idiot of a leader, and the Conservatives are bad enough with Rishi Sunak saying that the Airlines need to look after their customers, whilst in reality it is the fault of NATS. Populist motivations but it shows a deep dishonesty by not stating things as they are, that is the fault of NATS for a 'staggering' (IATA's Willie Walsh's description) cited error. If NATS have any honesty within their organisation at all, they'll offer to contribute compensation materially for this error. As the famous saying goes ' A true test of morality/honesty is when the right action is taken in response to a situation that legally doesn't require that action' !! Latter can apply to a person, organisation or country.... !!

I find these discussions of wages never refer to the even more excessive wages of the top footballers, rugby players, etc... whose wage levels the women players now are aspiring to reach whilst the men's levels are completely so ridiculously high that there should be talk of reducing them. The fact that CEO's have effectively awarded themselves such high wages v those lower down can explain why some refer to many at the top as sociopaths who have no empathy or understanding of those way beneath them.

NewKOTB, aren't the total number of shares traded more important than the number of trades ? Can't understand why the number of trades with minute share numbers matter more than the total number of shares sold or purchased. Surely people aren't that stupid to give my import to let's say 1000 trades of 1 share each v 1 trade of 100,000 each ?
