There are so many separate parties involved with verifying accuracies that there would have to be a highly improbable collusion or negligence for there to be a material inaccuracy in DEC'S Accounts.

Greygeorge, you are basically alleging that DEC are a Fraud of a business, a Bernie Madoff type Oil and Gas Company WITHOUT ANY HARD EVIDENCE. You do state qualifications that 'without hard evidence - or any evidence - or it's something I dreamt up', etc..., but this could be said of literally ANY COMPANY or Government for that matter !! The Auditors also would be frauds, etc....

Toff, JPM made an absolute mess of their assessment of RR back in late June. When RR's results came out in late July, their incompetent Analyst apologised and totally reversed his forecasts. In the interim, those who followed JIM'S forecasts list money. As you say 'Past performance is no guarantee of survival' and that also applies to JPM. Remember Credit Suisse, remember SV Bank..... !!

Madm0nk, the Div is 57.72p, the closing sp today is 2624.50p. After deduction of the Div tomorrow, assuming no other factors causing movement, the sp should be 2566.78p. How do you come by your statement 'Given it's going ex-divi tomorrow, I think a return to sub-2500p is almost an inevitability now...Shame.' please ?

Spights, with respect JPMorgan are untrustworthy and I would give them the same credibility as a con man. I can't understand why people don't see through their dishonesty. Back in June they downgraded RR with a Sell and pt of 90p when RR were circa 150p. The sp dropped by c 5p, showing their view wasn't believed by many, and late July RR's results proved them wrong and they had to reverse their forecasts. JPM gave another corrupt forecast this week re PHNX after latter had announced superb results and after Bank of America had upgraded their pt. JPM'S model is to downgrade and then buy up a stock through another part of their bank when it has fallen enough. They then upgrade the stock again obviously gaining. Very hard to prove but that is my experience of them. No way the poo will get to USD150, I would actually bet my life on it !!

They also cut RR back in Jun23 to 90p and ended up apologising and reversing their forecast when RR's results came out in late Jul23....... They have NO CREDIBILITY for me !! PHNX is a super investment.

AceofClubs, ideal business model is to have a material amount of hedging but also to have enough scope to sell at actual market prices if higher than the hedged prices. Hind sight is a great thing, but most activity these days is hedged. Having house insurance, life insurance, acquiring a degree, etc..., they are all hedging our personal lives and much of the cost may be wasted, eg insurances !!

Anon3, I understand what you're saying. My addiction is food and my BMI is circa 40 and it's so hard to motivate oneself consistently to shed those damn lbs/kilos !! But a 'nanny state' is also not what we need. Educating the masses is a good approach, but drug addiction, crime, etc.., keep on rising so I feel the saying 'we see and hear what we want to see and hear' is manifest. I'm also no spring chicken and reflect much on the mistakes of my life. Guns in USA, Yes that indeed is a challenge to correct... Humanity is not the perfect race by any means !!
