Andy144, the seller or sellers could simply need the money for non-investment or have access to a better opportunity. A large deal could potentially send the share price up so all speculation...

Gavster-NBC, thanks for your info. Bloomberg themselves leak enough of their own gas as media companies have their own different priorities. Those doomsayers and ridiculers are cowards, i.e. would they say what they write face to face ? I doubt it !! Pity I have enough of these and don't tend to average down as part of my PF strategy to limit individual share risk !! Would buy a new share instead to spread the risk. This will go back up soon enough as oil prices increase in the coming months.

Metalhead, another positive is that DEC continues to Buy Back its shares. If they felt money was critically tight, surely the Buy Backs would stop. Cutting the dividend a little could fund higher variable current loan interest. The DEC directors are intelligent enough to deal with this situation and as a LTH Investor I'll trust them to do that.

vestors and funds. They are certainly not hated, are very solid and pay high dividends.

Hi Shaun_LSE, Barclays opine that the Govt won't get this legislation through the two Houses given how fractured the Conservatives currently are and given that an Election is looming next year.... 14 year olds and younger can always get someone older to purchase the ciggies for them so I'm not sure how effective any legislation would be anyway.
