Yes, they are all good breakthrough's to us small investors and the scientific community but these city types only understand cash in the bank - this gives us the edge and makes investing exciting and profitable.

It seems we have our answer regarding what would happen to the SP when it reached 100.
I guess Blackrock are implicated in some way with the recent SP movements - I detect some manipulation rather than free movement.

These trend lines do matter - in the example I gave AHT simply gave a hint that their growth could slow and that knocked them back.

Ocado's problem with patents could do the same damage, so it is important now that we get good news quickly so that the momentum we have seen this year is maintained, otherwise the SP could drift and it will take an extended period to get back towards £30.

No, I don't agree - long term trendlines are very important.

Take a look at this 5 year chart from AHT - they had bad news in October 2018 and the SP fell below the trend line - it took over a year for the SP to recover and it didn't fully recover until February 2020.

The valuation is much more punchy now - hence the need not to slip too low and loose momentum. - there is no problem with flatlining but falling lower than the long term rising trend line is an issue.

Maybe a role for EP in Malaysian waters???

It seems that the leap to 2895 was when the SP went into overbought territory - we need to see Ocado recovering to around the 2450 mark over the next week or so because at 2330 its falling below the underlying rising trend line.

The interesting thing now is - what will happen when the SP reaches 100?

Over the years that I have owned this stock, none of the announcements regarding R&D have impacted the SP that much - in truth R&D developments are important to existing shareholders, and it is often the reason we hold, but what drives the SP is commercial deals - when these deals turn to good profits the SP will really move - Ceres is fast moving to that stage in its development..

I think that we need to see a commercial deal with Weichai in China before the SP breaks towards 1000+
That will be a game changer because although the Chinese plan to run the buses on natural gas they could just as easily run on Hydrogen.
Commercial vehicles running on hydrogen, using Ceres fuel cells could soon be a reality.

At least OCDO outperformed the 100 today - although this flatlining looks set to continue until we get good news.
The trouble is that if it continues for too long, without news, the SP could start to slide.
Meanwhile, MKS seems to have picked up the baton for team Ocado Retail - maybe?
