RE: None essential products3 Nov 2020 17:45
The range of goods that retailers can sell is not clearly defined and is likely to lead to much confusion at the end of the week.
Garden Centres and Nurseries have been told - by our Trade Association - that more or less anything goes, unless it is a separate concession - so I guess some Garden Centres will be selling a whole range of goods, including Christmas decorations. Garden Centres have been given permission to stay open.
It could be that M&S will continue to sell more or less anything except clothes and larger items like Furniture but they may even get away with selling a limited range of clothes if they are mixed with other merchandise.
Click and collect is certainly still allowed for any retailer - including non essential - provided they are corvid secure.
