One word of caution the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines are very similar but the Astra Zeneca vaccine has a different modus operandum, so the effective rates could be very different - Flu vaccine for example only has a 50% effective rate.
The Government is in advanced talks to buy some Moderna vaccine but I guess delivery wouldn't be any time soon.

I am not sure that going to up-market brands will work - their customers demand a shopping experience that they can only get in a boutique - also it didn't work for Debenhams.

Selling would be a contradiction of your first prediction of 4000-5000 - especially with a business like Ocado where the good news can come in any day out of the blue with another contract win.

When you are a long term holder you have to accept the dips that come with bad news - the main thing is not to react hastily and sell - also off course don't put all your eggs in one basket.

Maybe if M&S do go after Jaeger they should offer Lauren Day a seat on the M&S board - her talents might make the difference.

The need for lockdowns will only diminish when the elderly and vulnerable get vaccinated - up until that point there are no options.
It does look like we should now reach that point by the Spring at the latest.

Sorry, I wasn't clear - what Dr. Slaoui was saying and went on to say - the Sky clip wasn't the whole statement - was that Moderna will be releasing their vaccine next week, my point was that the UK doesn't seem to have any of that vaccine on order so we will only have access to the Pfizer vaccine for use in the short term to combat the current wave.

He also went on to say the Astra Zeneca were still recruiting in the US for the stage three trials - so I was guessing they may be a little way off release - but that seems to directly contradict what you have been told - his info may just apply to the US and Europe will get the vaccine quicker.

Also, with so many doses of the vaccine likely to be available by the Spring its likely that companies will be able to buy it for their staff/customers and individuals will be able to get it on the High Street - this could kick start air travel and the cruise industry much quicker than anticipated.

To sum up it seems that the UK will have limited amounts of the Pfizer vaccine available in December - Moderna will also announce their vaccine will be available next week but the UK doesn't seem to have any on order? - the Astra Zeneca vaccine may be available in December but more likely early next year - the Astra Zeneca therapeutic will also be ready early next year and this could also be used to protect the elderly etc catching Covid as well as treating it.

So, we may be able to start protecting the elderly, vulnerable and health care workers next month but its not going to help that much combating the current second wave and some restrictions will probably need to stay in place until well into the new year, but there is light at the end of the tunnel.
