As for M&S, it will be far better if they could concentrate on the top end - fewer, high mark-up products - having a mid player on board in an expanded market place would allow them to do that - much more profitable.
Ocado Retail needs to be a much more rounded business, appealing not just to the top end but the whole mid market as well - only then can they become a dominant player and get to a potential 25% market share.
