Personally I wouldn't be selling below 7 quid - funds will be reallocating monies towards UK equities in the New Year imv as some stocks are crazy undervalued - you can see value being outed with DLG this morning and ITV is also under scrutiny so value will out if not recognised by the market - EZJ must be another one at this price - at the end of the day the UK is fairly stable compared with most of europe with Germany in recession and France in turmoil so equities should do well if Labour can get their act together- the Times, Telegraph and the Observer usually have their share picks for the New year shortly after Christmas - lookout for them - EZJ will be on there imho

What a lovely start to the day - my own thoughts here are to sell my entire holding as close to 275p as possible then purchase Aviva shares if they pull back over the next few weeks

I am down around 10pct here but have kept adding and will reinvest the dividends accordingly - countries worldwide have no option but to chase growth in order to get themselves out of the current situations they find themselves in - oil and gas will play a big part in the search for growth, no question about it - the backstop is a possible bid - remember this back in April when BP was around 520p - didn't materialise in the end but you would have to think that at the current price of 380p some calculations are being made - after all why bother with the expense of oil and gas exploration when you can buy it already in place - gla dyor etc

DLG Gaining traction in last few minutes - news anyone?

The synergies created here are ever more important to Aviva in light of the Governments recent savaging of the private sector - businesses are now having to find efficiencies to cover the cost of the increment in NIC to employees and the easiest way to do that is get rid of them with an overlap of business - this deal goes through no question about it imho - lets see - dyor etc

The read through from OTB is significant this morning - they are currently up just shy of 15pct with future summer bookings set to excede estimates - finally it looks like the EZJ shares will rerate as I said in a previous post - 6 quid is on boys and girls - gla dyor etc

RBC cuts Vistry to 'underperform' (sector perform) - price target 500 (825) pence - Seems a rather harsh downgrade in light of the falls already here -

Little bit of FOMO came in at cop - papers to fuel the fire at the weekend no doubt - well done to all the lth's on here - patience is a virtue and it has paid off good style with DLG over the last few days - an extra g and t for me and Mrs C is in order tonight - good weekend all

Second purchase made at 231p - will bank the divi in a few days time and look to add on the divi reduction the following day to lower my average- Christmas coming up - best quarter for PETS - people still have plenty of money and imho a lot that money will be spent on their pets -

The remit for the DLG Board is surely to get the best price for the shareholders - whatever they say MAY happen down the line with the DLG business is pure heresay and means nothing to shareholders - 250p or 275p is factual and does mean something to shareholders - the board will not want a full blown hostile takeover pitting them against the shareholders - best alternative for the board is to start negotiations and get the best price they can get imho and I think this may well play out - lets see

I did say on here yesterday when I added at 534p that EZJ would re rate - holiday business still not factored into the sp imo -minimum 6 quid plus all day long - hold for gold

Decided to make a purchase this afternoon at 233p - will add on further weakness - results more than priced in for me but could fall again purely on the macro/algo sells - not too much more downside from here though imo - lets see

Said on here on the 11th that the insurance sector was ripe for consolidation and added last week at 150p - Panmure stated this morning the 250p bid was good for shareholders - the major shareholders of DLG (FIL, Fidelity, Schroders etc see below) may also have something to say -(there is never smoke without fire - and the fire will burn bright this morning for the shorts -

Decided to sell up this morning at 126p for a nice 5pct profit - I think it may well go higher but want to release some funds in order to keep 10-15pct of my portfolio in cash - gl to all existing holders

I did say in my post on here on the 11th Nov that caution was needed with PETS - it is playing out now - time to buy imho will be in a couple of days time when the price has stopped falling with Christmas to look forward to - sales should go well - people love buying stuff for their pets maybe a few dogs and cats bought as well to swell the coffers in terms of vets bills going forward - I will revisit next week to see how things stand
