Retail sales figures due tomorrow and Next results - these will set the tone for the week ahead imo - I wouldn't get too concerned about a few items left re Sienna Miller range, she sold out several items prior to this and at the end of the day you are never going to get all your clothing offerings right - for me MKS has momentum in clothing and if you look carefully at the sales they have not discounted as much as in previous years - most items are at a 30pct discount - momentum is massive in clothing and food and I think the figures are going to be good, very good on Thursday - let see

Decided to bite the bullet and buy back the ones I sold at 214p for 206p this morning - the forward p/e now around 11 - it looks to me like the fall is overdone - lets see

Gas price down around 3pct this morning with oil down around half a pct - BP now going against the commodity prices and up 1pct - I think the market has cottoned onto how ridiculous this sp is - a take over must be factored in - why bother speculating for oil/gas and all the expense that incurs when you can simply buy it already in place - 450p next stop imho - gla dyor etc.

With Kroger now chasing growth in the same way Marks has the signs are good for Ocado short term - Marks have had a very good Christmas in terms of food deliveries from what I am reading in the press (their tu is on the 9th Jan btw)- barring any macro economic disasters FOMO will play out here imho in the lead up to results - lets see - gla dyor etc

Savage - JDW will have to increase their prices for food and beverage by around 5pct to offset the nic/nmw as will their competitors - in my local town 5pct on a pint at 4 quid is 20p at JDW, 5pct on same said pint in a rival establishment 200 yards away at 6 quid is 30p - JDW will GAIN business imho from punters who are finding it inceasingly difficult to get drunk at the higher price on offer from JDW competitors! - we will see in the New Year - atb and hny to you matey

Jtan - not really mate - I tend to buy shares and hold/add long term to realise value - sometimes for a year or more but recently there has been a couple of trading opportunities where I have sold for a quick profit or in this instance to break even - I sold some MKS this morning for a 6pct gain to trim off my overall holding but I still hold around 7pct of my overall portfolio in MKS - never wrong to take a profit matey ! gl dyor etc.

Decided to sell at open today at 214p for a small profit, with a loss on my previous buy and taking the dividend into account finished about break even - something niggling me about PETS and the online competition which is becoming more and more prevelant - not sure if this can be offset with the vet business alone and with the CMA investigation still pending, decided to err on the side of caution here - gla dyor etc.

From what I can see the land bank is worth more than the mcap - why bother to go through the hassle and cost of acquiring new land when you can take it over, - got to be a target at this price imho - gla dyor etc.

I suspect Vistry have guided low at 250m but the actual profit will be higher in preparation for a positive tu on the 15th Jan - the target for full year results in March will then also be more achievable - I added some more at 543p - gla dyor etc

Said in a previous post on here that short term sentiment will focus on the cash take/profit for home delivery over Christmas and imho it will be high, very high for Ocado which should augur well for the sp - bearish posters are asking themselves the wrong question - not why haven't new cfc's been added but why are current users are still using their existing cfc's - robots vs people will NEVER go away - it is the future and will play out in front of your eyes in the coming year - lets see - gla dyor and Merry Christmas to you all
