Decided to sell the balance of my holding this morning - at the end of the day a 50pct profit now is better relocated to other bargain basement UK stocks which look set to get even cheaper as sterling continues its collapse - gl to all remaining holders - dyor etc

"come on Carrington.., think..take your Labour hate face off and look around mate" -Hey Poker I never said I hated Labour, in a previous post to you I told you that I wanted Labour to succeed - the bottom line though is that when you give out inflation busting wage rises you stoke inflation yourself and encourage others to seek same said wage rises, which is what Reeves has done - on top of that hammering the private sector reduces growth when she should have been stimulating the private sector to increase growth - the market is telling you this by raising the gilt price so Reeves now needs to cut spending to the bone or raise interest rates to calm the market - agree with PJT12 - Reeves naive at best - gl dyor etc

Decided to add at 524p - at the end of the day MKS is taking market share in clothing and decimating Waitrose in food - it still has momentum and this has shown in the figures today - that is enough for me going forward

markets overlooking any good result from any company in the uk based on uk gilts which are now higher than when lizz truss was pm - labour had 14 years to think about economic strategy and still ****ed it up

Yes wage freezes may well happen for the private sector Poker, lets hope so - for me though Reeves needs to get a grip now re public sector - inflation wage rises only going forward across the board- the alternative is rampant inflation, possible interest rate rises rather than cuts and then after that has played out recession - lets see

"train drivers need to be replaced with automated trains" - would agree with this but the Unions have fought tooth and nail against it and been successful - the recent wage rises will encourage them more instead of bringing them to heel imo

Poker - no problem to give money to doctors and nurses - I have a big problem giving money to railworkers with no conditions attached - when you set a precedence for big wage increases then everyone in the industry will want the same - so the strikes will continue imho - private sector drives growth - would have been better imo to stimulate the private sector rather than cripple it and get the growth first then money can be given to the public sector - one silver lining maybe for Labour is that hammering the private sector will probably cut jobs and reduce the need for wage rises which will eventually feed through to lower inflation - re 2030 not sure if the economy will make it that far - the 30 year gilt was trading at 5.362 a few moments ago when I checked - it peaked at 5.22pct when crazy Lizz Truss was PM - I want Labour to succeed but they have made the wrong decisions imho and if this level of borrowing continues it will end in tears way before 2030 - gl dyor etc

Wealthtransfer - plenty of UK companies derive their income from abroad - Next for example has around 14pct of its income coming from sales abroad - it had stellar results yesterday and is now almost back to where it was before the results were announced - MCG is listed in the UK and will be pummelled just the same as any other UK stock on a sell off - personally I think it is overdone with MGC - lets see - gl dyor etc.

I did say a few weeks ago that the nic rises would take its toll on this share and it has played out today - Labour decided to hammer the private sector and boost the public sector with inflation busting wage rises which is lunatic economics when you are trying to attract business into the country and create growth -both these decisions will make it difficult to get inflation under control, add to that a spike in food prices and the result is no interest rate cuts for some time - the market has now come to this conclusion I believe and is selling off across the board - I decided to buy back the shares I sold a few weeks back at 80p for 74.7p as I feel it is now priced in around the 74p mark - will add on further weakness - lets see

I wouldn't worry about it Niklol - it is very difficult if not impossible with any share to find the bottom - I am down around 2pct atm with JDW - not too concerned about range trading, - it is what it is - when the results are issued range trading goes out of the window as material facts have to be considered - which has been the case with NEXT sp today - I think the results on the 22nd will be pretty good - lets see

Wonder what's caused the SP to drop? - JDW rangeboung Niklol atm - mm's trying to make a market and will drop the share to its bottom range to attract buyers which have been there around the 6 quid mark - will be like this imho until the results on the 22nd -gl dyor etc
