"Has anyone thoughts on the Kantar stats?" - JDS - For me the Kantar stats reflect what has happened and what will continue to happen with regards to online grocery delivery - the MKS/OCDO partnership is formidable as Waitrose have found out - they will continue to gain market share unless the supermarkets without robots suddenly agree a 30pct wage cut across the board which is not going to happen anytime soon imho - MKS still has momentum in clothing and is still taking market share - as Chilting says it will depend on the UK Macro going forward - the interest rate cut should help on Thursday and with energy prices falling it may well facilitate further rate cuts down the pipe - the gov just needs to keep a lid on public sector wage rises to keep inflation in order to keep the rate cuts coming - if this plays out then I think we could see the first shoots of growth for the UK - in this scenario MKS will break 4 quid and then some - gla dyor etc

Have to say I find it rather bizzare that EZJ is now reacting to the price of oil today - oil reversed from being down around 150 to now being up around 60 and EZJ reacted accordingly - I hold BP and that did the exact opposite reversing its share price from a 7p decline to a 2p gain - IAG still going north regardless of the oil price - I think maybe some algos in play here re oil vs EZJ - as far as I am aware EZJ are well hedged on oil so I find the sp fluctuation a bit daft - gla dyor etc.

JD. imports a lot of its stock from China so sp being marked down accordingly - sentiment will keep the sp in check until the trade tariffs with China play out - unless it gets really messy with tit for tat tariff ncrements then JD. will come back strong imho - US chasing growth and inflation coming down with lower energy prices will facilitate further rate cuts both sides of the Atlantic - first one coming on Thursday in the UK - future looks good all round for short term growth, just need to get China onboard - gla dyor etc.

Canada and Mexico playing with a busted flush - Pain for America but recession pdq for the other 2 - Trudeau will be at the negotiating table when the dust settles here and realisation sets in imo - in the meantime this morning will provide some good buying opportunities - Always a good idea to keep around 15pct of your portfolio in cash for times like these - bring it on - gla dyor etc.

Good point from JJ - sectorising is the key to successful investing - spread your risk over different sectors rather than just one sector - re selling MKS at 4 quid or holding and adding - it is personal preference - I have sold some shares in the past to make a quick percentage when I have not been confident to hold for a long period of time in order to realise my goals - I don't trade as such I invest over a long period and add to a stock when I see value - gl dyor etc

I think some have reduced their exposure to retail of late re nic increases - I have actually increased my exposure to UK retail during the last week or so (I added here at 321 the other week) - UK Interest rate cut cycle now far better than other countries going forward - oil is being driven down by Trump which will further reduce inflation paving the way for more interest rate cuts in the UK which will hopefully fuel growth - the gov just needs to hold firm on public sector pay increases to keep inflation in check - nothing has fundamentally changed with MKS from when it was trading at 4 quid only the UK macro changed, - now imo the UK macro is turning more positive - lets see - gla dyor etc.

Had to correct, been saying it for weeks now - Trump hell bent on lower oil which he needs to facilitate interest rate cuts to fuel growth (US Crude just dipped to 71 dollars) - UK best placed now in terms of interest rate cut cycle - all adds up to a positive macro for EZJ - more to come here, plenty more imho - gla dyor etc
