RE: Over 400p Again Soon, M&S Recovery Play!5 Nov 2025 12:02
MKS now back on track with Ocado with the loss decreasing from £12.5m to £3.6m - that is some reduction and looking at the continued month on month market share gain as reported by NIQ Neilsen, it will imo soon be profitable and adding to the overall profits for MKS - momentum now also back with clothing which is a big plus going into Christmas - a lot being made of the budget but assuming there is no tinkering with corporation tax/business rates it could play out well for MKS - when the middle class cut back on restaurant meals they navigate to MKS instead, same as clothing, rather than spending money buying higher end jumpers from Hobbs, White Stuff etc they opt for the quality clothing offered by MKS - the same thing played out after Covid when people were strapped for cash - I switched up my portfolio some time ago into defensive stocks anticipating a possible recession under Labour - I see MKS as a defensive play - at the end of the day people still need to eat and clothe themselves - gla dyor etc
