"Retirment - I also got a few lol broke my own rules. don't ask me why !! fomo :-)"- no shame in admitting this - you have done the right thing imo - the math is correct on a value/oversold basis - I checked it with my son who is a quant analyst with a first at degree and masters level in Economics - the sp could well fall further on crappy macro news (more ai turmoil, a negative budget, no US rate rise etc etc) - but on fundamentals it is good value at anything below this price - gla dyor etc.

UK Retail sales were dire as I thought they would be - I added a few more at open for 329.5p - gla dyor etc.

BME now up a penny against the dividend - so around 4.5p up today - CEO loading up, Blackrock loading up - looks like the train about to leave the station - gla dyor etc.

Far too much pessimism on here!! - anything airline related has got an absolute hiding of late on the basis of the US, UK Europe et al going into recession and the perception that people will just give up travelling - one thing I have learned from the past is that people will never give up on holidays, it is almost sacrosanct - people HAVE to use airports for business and this will only grow going forward as countries have no choice but to chase growth in order to pay off the massess of debt they have accumulated, there is no other way to do this other than to cut interest rates and go for growth - airports will play a big part in this - you can see this with Gatwick and Heathrow both on the cards for expansion - rate cuts in the US and UK coming down the pipe pdq - sp fall overdone imho - I will be adding more should it fall further - gla dyor etc

I did say don't buy a falling knife !!! - Retirment - so what? - I very rarely trade I buy when I see value and have been successful in doing this- not concerned about the falls as my core holding here is on a £1.26 average - I add when I see value and will continue to add here maybe tomorrow when UK Retail sales are published, I expect they will probably be dire so MKS may well go down some more - lets see - gl dyor etc.

Thanglan - did you buy back in this morning at 165p? - starting to turn cold again, time to turn the heating up 😊- always a good time to add imho - gl dyor etc

QQ - I bought back in here this morning at 173p - the sp is at yearly lows and seems to be tied to the AI issue which was somewhat resolved last night with the Nvidia earnings report - the fact that Trustpilot are increasing their buyback tells me they feel like I do that this is oversold - should do ok today - lets see - gl dyor etc.

Had a quick look on the MKS website this morning and half their Christmas online food has sold out including the Tom Kerridge £195 beef wellington - as I was saying in a post a few days ago on the MKS board, when people cut back by not going to restaurants they buy the next best thing - M and S food - good thing for Ocado as all this food still has to be delivered 😊- dem vans are gonna be busy in the next few weeks - gl dyor etc.

Have to say when I saw the initial fall here I assumed that Kroger had pulled out of the whole of the CFC's with Ocado, not 3 of them - sell off ridiculous here - I have added some more at 168p - gla dyor etc.

"carrington you don't buy a falling knife though" - Retirment - I buy when I see value - the math adds up with MKS on fundementals alone - I ran a DCF analysis on a 2 and 3 year basis and the sp is well north of 4 quid - not concerned with where the knife falls as you can never find the bottom you just have to take a best guess - in the meantime I will add more on further weakness - gl dyor etc.

"wait till Nvidia results Wednesday night" - this is one of the reasons I have added again this morning - asset managers now moving away from AI on valuation and away from US stocks in general, the majority of which are toppy right now - I am overweight on defensive stocks in my portfolio due to a possible UK recession coming down the pipe - at the end of the day MKS is a part defensive stock - people still need to eat, and MKS did well after Covid when money was tight in terms of people not going to restaurants and buying MKS food instead - in terms of buying when the market is falling - be greedy when investors are fearful - Buffet - gla dyor etc.

Agree with Percy here - NHS completely mismanaged - no accountability as with the civil servants - with the private sector and business you have accountability - if said business screws up it goes bankrupt, if the public sector screws up Liebour put in more money to support it - then tell everyone their main priority is growth - Reeves and Starmer are two cheeks of the same ass - when you take away from the private sector which creates growth by implementing NIC rises and give it to the public sector which creates no growth whatsoever, you are basically peddling lunatic economics - The Gov may get away with it in the short term as inflation falls and rate cuts can be made, but they need to get a grip of the public sector/welfare pdq or things will start to unravel very quickly - gla dyor etc.

I did say I would wait until the budget before adding here, but I decided instead to add near cop at 343p - the reversal of 15pct over the last few weeks looks like it is overdone to me - virtually all UK stocks are being walked down right now especially retail which is struggling across the board, plenty of clothing discounts right now as people cut costs ready for a Christmas splurge - the good thing with discounting though is it will ultimately reduce inflation, especially with the Black Friday mark downs - interest rate cut nailed on next month (BOE should have cut this month imo and it was only on one vote that they didn't) - Marks still have momentum imv and are gaining momentum with the younger generation with regards to food and clothes - will add more here on further weakness - gla dyor etc.
