That was an absolute shocker from the BRC this morning - as I expected and stated in a previous post, it has put more pressure on the sp here this morning - I have bought back some of the ones I sold at 347p a few minutes ago at 323p - will add more on further weakness - gla dyor etc.

Clothing not the problem guys its the market - MKS clothing has GAINED market share in the last couple of years, and their margins have also increased - it is the UK market right now that is the problem - people are holding back on discretionary purchases due to an economically illiterate budget, not just with MKS but clothing retailers in general - gl dyor etc.

David - net profit in terms of clothing vs food is far greater - Marks results depend on clothing and maintaining margins, always have always will - gl dyor etc.

I think there is some caution ahead of the UK BRC Retail sales figures out tomorrow morning which I suspect will not be great as far as clothing is concerned, clothing is discretionary at the end of the day and you can see how the budget has affected the overall spend with sales on clothing widespread atm, - I kept my core holding here but sold a chunk of recent buys at 323p and 328p for 347p - looking at the graph the next support is at 324.5p then if it falls through that it is at 320p - I personally don't think it will as it is technically oversold now but if it falls much more than it has already I will buy back the sale of stock at 347p - watch the UK Retail numbers tomorrow morning for any further fluctuations in the sp - gla dyor etc.
