Tawse - I would caution against a few comments about Marks clothes matey - If you look at recent results Marks have GAINED market share in woman's clothes which indicates they are offering good styles that are selling - clothing market in general is poor right now and that imo is why MKS has tanked, nothing to do with their current offering, but all to do with market conditions right now in terms of discretionary items - I like JJ have added here over the last few weeks - sp fall way overdone imo on fundamentals alone - Jefferies agree with me with their broker note this morning - lets see - gl dyor etc.

Just had a look at the Marks and Spencer's website - online Christmas food delivery sold out - that is a lot of turkeys, beef joints, parsnips etc etc - only way its getting delivered is via Ocado vans - think about that over the weekend, moreover think about how many more active customers Ocado will acquire this Christmas - lots imho - sp movement all about momentum and Ocado has it right now good style - sp to go north next week imo - lets see - gla dyor etc.

I think about how I would feel in 3 years' time not having them in my portfolio" - Correct and something I have always done - I had a large chunk in RR from around 1.25p and have trimmed off profit as it has risen - but I always kept a core holding and always will - RR will be progressive going forward re dividends which will encourage funds to buy and retain holdings and with the essentials of smr's, aircraft engines etc etc RR will be an absolute necessity going forward - gl dyor etc.

Q2 GDP for the US was at 3.8pct - final figures for Q3 not due till around Dec 25, likely to be lower ( estimates are between 1.4pct and 3.2pct) - but when you see what the growth figures are for the UK and the rest of Europe I would say their economy is booming right now and with an interest rate cut it is likely to increase their GDP further imho - gl dyor etc.

Forest, very difficult to time the market matey - I have got it wrong many times before - yes Ocado a great buy for me around the 170p mark - I trimmed some profit this morning and bought a few back on todays fall - I am adding on any more weakness with MKS - your position will come good in the end imv - time in the market not timing the market as the old saying goes - 😊- gl dyor etc.

Garrone - MRO now 10pct down from the trading update when it reconfirmed earnings - lots of noise re the war coming to an end and people to stop spending on air travel - just noise imho - interest rate cut in the US yesterday and their economy is booming over there right now - the latest UK retail figures were grim but there was a 10pct plus uplift in travel agency business and with a UK rate cut which looks on the cards for next week momentum can shift quickly especially with stocks like MRO which are clearly oversold on any metric you wish to use - keep the faith my friend - gl dyor etc.

Forest/David - don't get too concerned about the shorts - Blackrock are cumulative over 5pct LONG - so their short is just a hedge against their long position, the rest of the shorts with other companies are not naked shorts as such and will be hedged with options etc -

Poker re Kroger "Instacart is going to end up costing them more and more ....word is the labour costs for it are going up and up as workers demand higher wages" - correct - wages worldwide on the increase whereas the Ocado tech is becoming cheaper, faster, and far more cost effective in the long term than employing pickers, drivers etc - as I said in a previous post - Ocado will eventually dominate worldwide as labour costs increase, - you can see this playing out in the UK as it continues to take market share - this will continue indefinitely imho - gl dyor etc.

MKS now trading at almost a year low (which was 319p) - so below what it was before the cyber attack happened - Added a few more at 320.8p - gla dyor etc.

Primetime - feel you pain matey - EZJ being dragged down on the back of the crappy UK budget atm but the p/e is around 6 - can't stay like that for much longer even on a downbeat economic scenario - far far too cheap - lets see - gla dyor etc.
