I am still buying and will continue to buy and reinvest the dividend of over 5pct (where else can you get that at the moment?) - bhs and Austin reed have gone - that leaves targets form mands - there p/e is probably less than 9 now and the dividend yield nearing 6pct - compared to NXT with a p/e of almost 12 and a dividend yield less than 3pct - these are the figures people should be looking at - when the dust has settled after the referendum these shares will be trading way over 4 quid imo - dyor etc

it depends what you view as value - I, like many have been investing in mands for over 10 years - I have seen the ups and the downs - this is a down period, no doubt about it, but people are overreacting here - mands has a lot going for it - the food is the best in the UK - their website is now excellent - the only issue they have is woman's wear and I now think they have the right guy to sort it - the loss of bhs gives marks a target and the reduction in prices for basic clothing targets it imo - I am an investor not a trader - I am looking 12 months ahead in terms of value - you pays your money and you takes your choice - I will take the dividend and keep reinvesting as I have done in the past, and made plenty of money doing it too -

I am still buying and will continue to buy - dividend covered at 1.87x now yielding more than 5pct and a p/e of around 9.8 makes this a no brainer over the long term imo - I am more than happy to keep buying - don't forget Philip Green bid for this company at £4.00 !!!! - there is plenty of money slushing around in the corporate world doing nothing at the moment, I just wonder.............

good luck BL - it is never wrong to take a profit and 8pct is fair enough - I will wait and see what happens next week - I am sitting on around 10pct profit at the moment but I want to see the results and what the new man in charge has to say for mands going forward/future dividends etc - if the news is good then I will add more and re-invest the dividend back into the share, if the results are now what the market expects then I will hold and buy more when it drops and reinvest the dividend back into the share.

I concur Brightlight but I am waiting until this share rises much more that 440 - I have been buying it all the way down below 4 quid and I am looking for 5 quid plus - m and s have finally got the right man in charge now imo - someone who knows their business inside out - their results are out next week and I am quietly optimistic - the woman's wear range is showing some signs of finally picking up and that is the key - if m and s can get this right this share will fly - dyro etc

Gelson - if you monitored the Marks website since Wednesday you would, like me, have noted that some of the Alexa Chung items sold out within hours - so whether you like the clothes or not they are selling - I like you have been buying shares since they dropped below 4 quid (see my previous posts) but unlike you I am holding them as the dividend payable in July will be around 4pct and on a p/e of 13 I think there is more upside to this share - I am looking at 5 quid plus - dyor etc etc

Good man in charge of M and S now - someone who knows the business inside out - trading update beat analysts expectations and with a dividend over 4pct and p/e around 12 this share looks undervalued to me - if the Alexa Chung launch goes well on April 13th I think this share could fly - by the way Anton30 - are you still hanging out for 3 quid!! I see what you are saying re charts - I know plenty of people that buy and sell purely on charts, some have been successful and some haven't - I will continue to buy the shares however, all the way down to £3.50 - at £3.50 if the dividend is maintained that will yield me over 5pct which is not too shabby - also I suspect there is probably a good chance m and s will be taken out before it ever gets to £3.50, after all Phillip Green pitched in for it around £4 - dyor etc etc

Hi - I have been buying marks for the last 10 years - share price silly now imo - I have bought steadily from 5 quid down to £4.09 and will keep buying - I think they are a great company that just need to get their clothing for woman right - I think the Alexa Chung launch in April will help - it they get woman's clothing right this share will fly - way past 5 quid imo - dyor etc etc
