if it goes lower I will buy more - if you think mks food is truly awful you must the only person in the UK that thinks that - I presume you mean clothes? - that has been noted by mks management which is why they are rebalancing the stores more towards food - in terms of a takeover I have said it before on this site that it is on the cards if the share keeps falling - Phillip Green tried to buy mks at 4 quid so around 3 quid to me it looks very tempting - in the meantime I will keep reinvesting the divi which I have just done at 321p (5pct plus yield) and bide my time gl dyor etc

exposure by AQR Cap was reduced a week ago and Lone Pine reduced theirs last month - total shorts on TSCO now stands at only 2.47pct - imo the negatives are in the price - I have been buying steadily on the way down - my target is 200p by year end gla dyor etc

Morning Fruitster, Funny you should say that about the food - I was thinking the same thing but Mrs C said they have changed the £10 food offering with new items included and are bringing in new ranges atm - Mrc C brought home some MKS Tutti Frutti grapes yesterday for herself as I don't particularly like grapes, I find them watery and tasteless - I ended up eating nearly the whole lot!! - incredible, best grapes I have ever had !! dyor etc

Evening Fruitster I have already nominated my dividend for reinvestment - I think MKS are going to do well long term - as money gets tight people will stop going out for meals and buy the MKS meal deal and as more retail goes out of business MKS will mop up some of the floating customers - MKS can drive down the purchase price and negate the currency fluctuation against sterling through sheer economies of scale which other retailers will struggle to do - clothing is also starting to look more positive so all in all I am pretty optimistic going forward. gl dyor etc

329p - share price still falling and now at 325p - some analysts still unimpressed with the company performance and the economic environment is still pretty uncertain - I take the alternative view though - the share price analysis is telling me this is oversold - if it keeps falling it will be taken out - there is plenty of money in the world economy atm looking for a place to sit - Phillip Green bid for MKS at 400p a few years ago - we shall see if the sp keeps falling or not - my bet is that it will correct sooner rather than later - dyor etc dyor etc

at a 2pct loss - with the pound going down and rates in the us going up I have decided to take a loss on this one - will see what the results hold and may buy back in - if the pound ends up falling back to 1.19 usd then DEB could be sitting at 40p by results day gla dyor etc

agreed - 7pct is not to be sniffed at Gerry - my nervousness with this is the trading update - up to that point if the pound/dollar doesn't plummet (down 0.69pct as I am posting) - I think we should make steady progress but the crunch comes on the 27th dyor etc

The pound was down over 2pct and is coming back atm on the back of a softer Brexit outcome - I bought DEB this morning basically on the company fundamentals which unless the trading update at the end of the month is disastrous should prove to be a good buy. gl dyor etc

I wouldn't worry about it too much if I were you - the market in general is on edge atm - if the result is blue on Friday then I think we could see a rebound - if Corbyn gets in though all bets are off - in this scenario we could well see 330p at which point I will add some more - personally I think a Tory landslide is on the cards so hopefully we will be smiling come Friday morning! gl dyor etc

MKS will not be going down 10pct today - the upcoming results have already been factored in mate - the Sunday newspapers are merely reiterating this - you need to do some proper research before posting rubbish like this dyor etc

Thanks Fruitster - selling part of a rising share is always a difficult one as I am sure you know - my nervousness with holding the full amount is that the market has of late sold off on virtually any company results no matter how well the company has done - it will be interesting to see how AN effects things - my gut feeling is he wouldn't have taken this job unless he could see good things and a good strategy going forward - I feel MKS have the strategy and people in place to make significant progress now - not too long to wait to find out - gl dyor etc
