I am quite happy to buy more mks as it falls and reinvest the dividends - the key for them is woman's wear - there are signs they are getting this right, just ask Megan Markle - it will take time for sure but I am happy to wait - if it doesn't turn around it will imo merge with Next or Sainsbury's or be taken out - remember Phillip Green bid for it years ago during a down turn at 4 quid - I am very confident in Archie Norman, a top retailer doing the business - recovery, merger or acquisition - any scenario will do for me - patience needed. dyor etc

a lot of ifs and buts in there supercharger - lets just wait and see if there are import duties - I very much doubt it - Germany stands to lose 14,000 jobs in the motor industry on a hard brexit and that is a conservative estimate - there will be massive repercussions for Europe if we don't get a free trade agreement as there will for us which is why I don't think it will happen - too much at stake - in terms of oil, like Opium said - just another reason to shop at Tesco rather than at the lads - gl dyor etc

its difficult pd - I am concentrating on dividends atm as I believe world markets have more or less topped out for growth - I am invested in the retail sector as you know - Tesco starting to pay dividends again and Marks which has a good dividend - both shares look undervalued to me and have a possibility of growth - other than that I am in bt and vod atm for the same reasons - these shares are only my opinions though pd not advice!!! gl dyor etc

disagree supercharger - oil prices will not imo go up much more unless there is a major macro-economic disaster - the stripper wells in the states will come on line as they have in the past to benefit from the higher oil price and drive the oil price down as they have done all year - sterling undervalued imo and based on a brexit disaster which I don't believe will happen - time will tell of course but I am happy with my analysis gl dyor etc

Evening pd - no crystal ball I'm afraid - I don't use charts either - I analyse sectors in the ftse and imo some uk retail stocks compare favourably against a backdrop of uncertainty that is overdone imo (brexit inflation lack of wage growth etcetc) the big players in retail will benefit as inflation slows and wages gradually increase and the pound becomes stronger through one maybe two rate rises this year so the booker deal has come just at the right time to capitalise on this - all imo of course! you should have asked me jonjo - I called it right when I sold 30pct of my stock at 214p!- I said - buy the rumour sell the news - this is all that has happened today - nothing has changed my mind in terms of TSCO being a long term buy - TSCO is the biggest player and will be even bigger once BOK is acquired - the big players will always be able to command greater margins as they shift more stock - Onwards and upwards for TSCO - I would be surprised to see it go below 190p - if it does I will top up - time will tell - gl all dyor etc

disagree with what you are saying MKS and TSCO can increase margin through economies of scale - the big players will win out as the minor retailers go bust - this in turn will create more footfall for MKS and TSCO to aim for - especially TSCO now they are acquiring BOK - the dividend alone in MKS make it worth buying imo and believe me the dividends will be king going forward as world wide markets are now pretty much topped out for growth - MKS dividend almost x2 covered - dyor etc
