buy the rumour sell the news - Next had pretty good results today and maintained its guidance only to be savaged - down 4pct atm - market taking no prisoners - I must admit I am a little nervous about the outcome tomorrow - Lets hope it goes our way

of good results on Thursday and sell on the news - I have a feeling this is what may be coming up - hope I am wrong but have seen it many times before of late with companies even with solid results - they need to be bloody good on Thursday if this share is going to keep going north

I bought at 284p a week or so ago and have sold today for 3 quid - nice 5pct profit - going up on short covering today for Next's results tomorrow I suspect but I am happy nevertheless to take a small profit - I have a huge position in MKS and will see what happens when their results come in next week and if they go down I will reinvest the profits from today - always been a long term share for me - dependent on a favourable Brexit I still think MKS will go past 4 quid long term maybe even 5 quid - markets are starting to wake up to how much UK retailers are oversold and companies with big dividends will be king going forward as bonds become a serious competitor to equities -

bt stomping ass today - up 10.5p at 251 as I am typing - if this breaks 250 today I am taking the rest of the week off!

just had a look at the close and bt up 5.85p at 4:30 but just rechecked and now 10 minutes later at 4:40 price showing up 6.50p - must have been some heavy buying going on there - onwards and upwards for the mighty bt

as was said recently aus - there are a lot of things up in the air atm - brexit being one of them - I think the greenlight capital move at the weekend was significant - it highlights just how undervalued this share is - with the us market looking toppy and some major ftse stocks looking well below true value I think we will (hopefully) see a lot of money moving into bt - if it makes £4.50 I can take next year off also! - or am I now just being greedy

sticking to its 325p price target - if it goes to that I will be able to take the rest of the year off! - come on the bt!

I suppose it depends on how one feels brexit will pan out - data sharing is beneficial to both parties as is a soft brexit which is the way I think it will go - too much to lose on both sides and logic will prevail in the end me thinks

Not saying gc are interested in bidding aus I'm saying gl are highlighting the fact bt is undervalued - also I think the brexit issue is overplayed -

The involvement of gc is good news - it highlights how undervalued bt are - I bet deutsch telecom are watching this with interests - bring them all in for a bidding war - the more the merrier (just ask sky) - this is the way it will go in telecoms/media going forward - takeovers and mergers which is why I've been adding to bt all the way down - the good times are coming for bt make no mistake about it Gla Dyor etc

sorry that was a type 337 not 377!!

shares trading at 377 atm - anyone buying yesterday is sitting on around a 5pct loss - as I said a couple of days ago - wait for the dust to settle before buying shares on profit warnings - especially in the ftse right now - uk shares are being slaughtered - I personally think UK shares are cheap, very cheap and if we get a decent settlement on Brexit I can see them coming back around 20pct plus - gla dyor etc

I did say on this board a couple of days ago that I was going to sit this out for a while until the dust had settled and I am glad I did - there were always going to be broker re-ratings on this in light of the latest news and this is generally what happens, especially in a market that is selling uk stocks atm with glee - could go below 3 now which imo is not warranted at all but is on the cards

MKS is being punished as it is in retail and lets face it the government will not help in terms of reducing business rates, big stores are going bust, brexit is unresolved etc etc - with all this overhanging it is hardly surprising MKS keeps falling - I am optimistic however - MKS woman wear getting some good reviews of late - other retailers going bust is good news for MKS as it increases their footfall opportunities - still think we will get to 4 quid long term and I will keep adding on the falls as I have done in the past

and no let up in sight - with the Liberium sellnote this could finish up anywhere today, especially if Wall Street sells off which, looking at there futures right now looks likely
