I suspect this new fall is due to fedex reporting weak trading in Europe after the bell in the US last night - I re-bought some more at 289p having sold all my stock some time ago close to 4 quid, and will add as it falls - not too concerned about the short term outlook which is pretty bleak for most sectors until brexit is resolved but the stock is fundamentally cheap - happy to ride it out over the long term until/unless JC looks like getting in, then will probably sell all my wordly elongings and move to any country that is still ok taking Brits!

not just brexit dallo - us trade issues with china - dow tanking atm down almost 800 and will continue to fall imo until value is realised in stocks - lots of downgrades going on over there atm - until this is corrected the dow will keep falling -

I didn't say they were piling in now I said after the vote read the post - no problem buying for divi if a share is way oversold which bt was and still is - when you have a problem is buying for divi where the company is fully valued Dyor

WRONG! - BT went ex dividend on the 9th August at which point the share price was 229p - if you bought before then and took the drop on the ex-divi date you would now be making around 12pct profit PLUS the dividend re-invested - I did this as many on this board did and many institutions did - that IS a wise choice -

I think we may well see an uptick in bt specialist1 - once the vote is out of the way next week - bt goes ex divi on the 27th Dec and I think a lot of institutions will pile in to secure that before the market closes on the 24th -

disagree - ftse may be up but stocks that are uk based and sensitive to a no deal brexit are being hammered - mks, next, itv kingfisher and bt - the ftse rise today was primarily based on the trade deal by us/china overnight - the ftse priced in the gains on the Asian market accordingly

starting to be priced into the market imo - no other reason I can think of for this drop today but looking across the ftse there are some silly prices now for companies based on nav - I think this is maybe the start of a correction to price in further brexit turmoil, lets face it May isn't going to get her deal through which means either no deal or another vote or a general election, all of which is going to hurt sentiment, especially if there is a general election and Corbyn gets in - all other scenarios this points to a 10pct drop in stocks - but JC getting in points to me getting out of the country to somewhere that is still happy to take Brits

between 300 and 310 - at 310 I suspect short bets are being placed by institutions forcing the share down and at 300 there are buyers seeing value - meanwhile I will reinvest the dividend in 6 weeks time, add on falls, rinse repeat etc etc.

two weeks ago has taken the mother of all good hidings - get in there the mighty vod - it was so undervalued - so glad I topped up at 154p - if we get any sort of settlement on Brexit this share will be 2 quid plus (and still be showing a high yielding divi)

I think a possible Brexit resolution is helping pacey - I read in the Times a few weeks ago that a Brexit settlement could put 20-30pct on some UK stocks that are way undervalued -

Me too aus - i averaged down although from not quite as high position as yourself - keep the faith - solid high dividend stocks will be king going forward - bt is still cheap imo - 5 quid by Christmas not quite but I would not be surprised if we were north of 3 Gl Dyor etc

Hey Mitch, you are beginning to sound like a broken record mate - when all you are is a bitter ex-employee with an axe to grind - I have been buying mks clothes for years and have yet to have any of them fall apart - unlike primark which is just basically cheap tat.

I have a feeling that no matter how good the results are tomorrow bt will be hammered down - hope I am wrong but that is the way of the market right now.
