take your point Aus but from what I remember there inaccuraccies on both sides - remember the pontificating by economists and politicians alike stating how if we did vote leave that there would be mass unemployment in the UK, a collapse in growth, some were even forecasting a housing market crash - none of it has come true - just basically scaremongering

Morning Pokerchips - I don't work for Marks so unfortunately not privy to that information - I have heard that the footfall from closing stores to nearby stores is looking pretty good which should result good cost savings going forward - my 400p target is based on mks selling more clothes to woman, it really is as simple as that - signs are promising on that front with some stand out items getting major press coverage and selling out - brexit deal, trade wars etc could obviously impact but given a clear macro/micro economic outlook and a decent settlement on brexit I am happy to keep buying -

5 quid by Christmas - seriously though - I think the institutions are finally waking up to how undervalued this share is - piling in now for the divi - dt to take over/merge early next year - no brainer for them - they are invested already so a merger would increase their stake - everyone's a winner - maybe that could bring in other bidders! - 5 quid by NEXT Christmas!

I note that short tracker funds have reduced their exposure - it was above 12pct a few weeks back - now at 10.5pct - very telling - mks will benefit from major stores going bust as it increases their footfall opportunities - sticking to my 4 quid by year end prediction

To make a generalised comment like that about investors who receive dividends makes you look stupid - it is one of the most effective ways to boost returns - I have made plenty investing this way and to be told I am an idiot by someone like you is quite frankly offensive.

next results, possible no brexit, interest rate rise coming, fall in consumer sentiment take your pick -

not too surprised by this, profit taking I suspect after Friday's rise - quite a bit of support around 232p level this morning so far - institutions buying on dips I suspect to secure the divi next week - next Thursday is key - will the share rise more before then? - I think it will - all the bad news is out now - I am looking (and hoping) for 250p by next Wed close of business.

I can see why you don't use fundementals now - I would caveat your posts from now if I were you with Dyor before some inexperienced investor reads what you are saying and shorts this stock - reviewing stocks without fundemental analysis is imo dangerous and can have extreme consequences DYOR

up 12p (5.39pct) as I am posting - got to be a few shorts making phone calls now - painful day for them - dilly dilly!!!

been watching the share price closely this morning looking for drops - every time it has got close to 6p up it has been bought unlike other times when the profit taking has taken the sp south into the red - just wondering if this is shorts covering or big institutional buying - I think (and hope) that this is the big boys loading up and this is the turning point for this share.
