actually i do not think everyone assumes WW will come in. I think that is why there was such a large drop on the news of the first drill being non commercial. the story had been rosy otherwise. the poor result kind of burst a bubble

unfortunately however should the next drill be a duster the drop will probably be higher than the lift if it is a strike. there seems to be a huge disconnect between SP and value of the company in my opinion. the broker notes have to be taken with a huge pinch of salt and I am not suggesting £1.35 is the current value but then neither is 43p

so looks like CMD is going to be January. that would be with 6 months of data from continuous production. Can't see much point of holding it then if no significant update to be given on production prospects for the future

They have been steadily producing for 3 months...they have been collecting data all along.

Can't understand why people are thinking that means starting from now.

I would take steadily producing to mean what it says on the tin. they havent specified both wells have to be running and no issues etc.

since we have been producing steadily since first oil - I would say we have been in steady state of production now for 3 months

they have already generated 3 months of data. Also had to deal with issues and sorted them - still produced steadily

Charts.. Not everyone believes in them. I am very sceptical myself but I think it is useful to know support and resistance points.

hopefully a lift in oil price with saudi news. though whether this gets translated to oil companies sp is another matter. I haven't noticed cerp increase with oil prices...

however R1 is 4.7p...so if an oil price increase helped it through this barrier R2 is 5.49p...so could get interesting.

sad to see the pollution and i hope there were no injuries...however oilies deserve a bit of good luck in my opinion.

It's a difficult one Ross. This week aim has really disillusioned me. A share I think we both are in releases rns of an oil strike and barely rises. Today couple of what I thought were dodgy rns and we get a lovely rise! Seems to be no logic.

I hear what you say but there could be more legs on thi on the build up to the drill... Fingers crossed no delays..

I have always held a chunk of CERP shares...I am a long term holder ...the ones i currently now have all been freely gained through trading . before that i had £50k of cash just sitting as a long term investment in cerp shares but after watching the price continually drop and some of koots antics i have changed my mind and strategy and decided free shares was the best strategy. This week has been a nice boost for my portfolio and i was very happy with where the SP was going

I do have a pot to trade shares including cerp. I had loaded up expecting south america news- but sold this chunk as it is obvious this will be delayed. if there is a rinse and repeat opportunity i will be in and out to increase my free share holding. though i do have more interesting shares on my horizon at the moment.

I have always tried to be objective about my shares. I don't like the two RNS today. not so much the content - whether they pay or issue hopefully will make no difference in the long run. if south america is as a good as the hype. what bothered me was two in quick succession - and the spin put on contradicting itself in my opinion.

bigmj - shareholder confidence will improve when the SP goes up. that will happen when they deliver good things. not by trying to "trick" the market...all these little things like South America tweets/ oily finger / multiple RNS are in my view making cerp look like a lot of other AIMers with their "common practices". And we know the geeral reputation of AIM

i invested in CERP because i though koot was a classy guy....but he seems to be coming across more and more like an snake oil salesman

i get the feeling that there were two RNS -- is there any reason why it could not have been done with one ? and save cash...were to increase "news"....

by trying to put a positive spin on why they are doing it - just contradicted things in my opinion...i don't think it looks good for the company and i think the SP may suffer today - just as were building up a nice head of steam

bigmj - the reason they are paying a higher price is because the SP dropped under their stewardship. If the SP goes up due to their transformational activities they wil have in effect got them cheaper.

you can bet if today had been a duster - the price would have dropped 20%!

my guess is it won't happen this month.

We were told imminent in july...then 1-2 months which would be now...then on september rns we were told lateQ3/early Q4....so already they are preparing for a delay until October

well when the bad news on warwick came we dropped by 20% ish from memory - so you would hope that the SP rise (if it is true) would be at least the same. I would hope for more as it is further proof of concept as well as a strike.

however it is AIM where anything can happen. A poster on advfn talks about the big boys need to be in for it to blow. whilst some of his comments are pure carp - i wouldn't necessarily discount this. SP i believe can be manipulated to allow positions to be covered etc. Also as saifd with a mcap of near a billion it will take a lot to shift it considerably.

would be great to get RNS tomorrow - hopefully now that photos are out they will be forced to
