novy - koot teased us with the tweet - personally I think it was naughty as it looked like it was trying to drive the SP up by suggesting something was about to be released. it wasn't.

at the presentation he said imminent - then corrected to 1 or 2 months. 2 months is not my definition of imminent but that is what I decided to go on - and have loaded up accordingly.

it is obvious that there are bureaucratic delays - and it will take what it takes however I just wish koot were more realistic / honest with the punters. say there is an agreement in place but when your dealing with governments it always takes longer so in all honesty i cant give you a time frame..

i had hoped the deal would occur before drilling - but now this may not be the case.

I had been looking at SXX when it was 15p - seemed under valued unloved etc etc and I was be sure to make a profit on a trade etc etc ... everytime i was about to pull the trigger something held me back. I was mighty relieved when it dropped to 8p that I hadn't. You just never know in this game

I can't remember how long I have been involved with RBD.....say two years...maybe 3. as i said i have made £10k so far......the share is looking a lot more exciting now that the hard preparatory work has been done...so hopefully it will take off.

saying that for me to make £10k remember people had to lose money....and that is AIM

jimmy - i seem to remember from an early interview the rbd model was to buy cheap and make money. when the market turns and this is no longer a viable strategy they suggested it would be wound up.

so no...it would be doubtful it will become a BP. HUR i suspect were originally planning to sell on but now they were forced to go alone it will be intersting to see what they do. trice certainly wants to explore so i suspect bits will be sold to enable that...unless they are making enough money themselves from production.

Jimmy - i am in both RBD (£10k) and HUR (£70k) .

Hur is producing - they have made 3 offloads of over 1 million barrels. the price is low because a recent drill was disappointing and a large shareholder sold out at massive profit . I think it is a great share but then i am biiased.

I have been in RBD for a long time. my holding is a free carry form various trades. i like the company approach but i think it is riskier than hur. i was certainly happy to be in rbd rather than ujo where Chis oil is positioning himself.

These are actually vey good figures in my opinion but is is still a 50-50. a duster would decimate SP have no doubts about that. my hope is that the south america news is released and gives holders an opportunity to top slice and reduce risk of holding for results.

Those paid for broker notes have to be taken with a huge pinch of salt - you only have to look at the disclaimure.

there are definite possible momentum flags....South america and exploration activities.

my hope is South america comes in very soon. there were the teasing pr tweets back in june suggesting news coming and then we were told it was imminient - then corrected to one or two months - well the two months are up. time to deliver. i will then decide to stay or go.

there should be a build up in SP to the exploration drill spuds - but then you have to make your choice if you want to be in for the results.....you can easily double or half your portfolio.

kaiser - well done on the trade. i think you played the mvt well. i was tempted to do the same but thought there was more momentum...also busy time at work so can't keep such a good eye on it. the huge spread did not help either.

loaded up to £37k with a mix of free shares and others bought at 3p - not as much as i wanted but won't top up more unless goes to 3p again.

What I would say is that they were clearly giving 3 monthly updates. So it is feasible that some people might be waiting or wondering what is going on. I think it should have been mentioned in an rns. As it is a significant development. But hey maybe I am the only one who thinks so.

Magoo... Did koot notify the ceasing of operational updates by rns? I do think there are transparency issues with koot. Which feeds speculation.

Ross - from memory koot said income was in line with previous quarter. Now that I am starting to read koot a bit more accurately I took this to mean production was lower.

I don't remember the 3 monthly operational updates were to be discontinued being announced by rns. I could be wrong but I am not going to bother trawling through. If this is the case then that is another poor show by koot-as lth who didn't catch a tiny snippet in a video of a presentation would be in the dark.

i actually think cerp has done well this week - which shows that it is pretty much at the bottom. Any buys at this level should do well short term and long term in my opinion.

Fish - you have to remember that some posters have bought in high and are maybe down quite a bit and its maybe the only cash they have etc etc.. when you have been on the boards for a while you can sense the desperation in some. Hence the ramps and agressiveness from keyboard warriors. if you are confident in your share and strategy there is no need to behave like that - it is fear that usually makes people angry

personally i think to succeed you need to be logical,unemotional and listen to the opposing views.

colonel - the drops the last couple of days are in my opinion due the market is currently getting battered all over the place.
