In my experience hur have always been very quick to temper the rumors (which usually come true - touch wood) when the sp gets carried away... Just wish they were as quick to commincate when it could support the sp.

peter - i would have thought after spudding because something could have gone wrong with the drilling or the complete opposite gushed oil as soon as the drill descended.

lex - in my experience keyboard warriors wouldn't say boo to a goose in real life. thats why it doesn't affect me. i suspect he may have gambled all his pocket money!..lol

peter - i always took a "closed period" to mean that there was stuff going on like negotiations which meant that the bod could not buy because it would be market abuse. for instance they knew the details of suriname and should they have bought before the rns could have had an unfair advantage...not that the price hugely jumped anyway!..lol

since they released half yearlies in early september - it is not a closed period in terms of accounting

vmax - if it was a ridiculous question - you could have easily put me straight. the fact you have done numerous "keyboard warrior" responses just indicates to me that you are being defensive.

this is a discussion board. i read on here - to learn stuff. I would have been happy for you to have imparted your wisdom. presumably you know more than me.

vmax...hopefully the company is doing things all year round - it is called work. doesn't mean it is a closed period. from what has been in RNS there doesnt seem to me anything that would be price sensitive ?

so what was going on that made it a closed period?

unfortunately AIM is very rarely for investing these days. the most profitable strategy i have found is to be in and out - taking a profit or free shares.

i wasnt intending to be in with the stake I currently have for drilling. there is always a risk no matter how oily the fingers are. unfortunately South america caught me by surprise at a time when i was away. surprise as it seemed a damp squib.

once the price dropped it wasnt really worth selling - so now will gamble on the drill. lets hope koot delivers or it is going to get very painful here.

There are a lot of spies on hur..eg there were photos of the flare forcing the company to release rns....

The price is more or less back to where this dropped on duster.

i suspect koot is very much interested in sp.....why do you think the foreifn country /oily tweets and playing to the gallery?

Schroders have taken a battering for a long time...do you not think this puts pressure on koot?

i suspect koot realises that delays could afffect the SP at the moment. So has released the rns to say everything progressing dont worry.

I was frustrated that they did not have the rig ready for action as soon as permits were in place..but i guess if there has to be a government inspection he possibly didnt want to jump the gun...you know how bureaucrats are.

just think he needs to be more realistic with his time frames - sespecially if dealing with the crats

Emily - I would suggest most aim companies are not for investing unless you want to lose your money. There are a few companies that I think are different. Cerp was one of those. However my faith is not so strong after the last year. I was only in for SA... However if it is not what I had hoped for I will be out. Always said that. It is not an obvious slam dunk which is why I need time to research.

Ross - I am in Germany for a long weekend so difficult to fully do the research. Initial reaction is disappointment but I do need a bit of time to look into it.

I suspect my involvement in cerp in the future will be just trading.

It is painful...was thinking of selling at 49p..each time it drops I think it cant possibly go any lower.....and it does!

scarface - my investment shares are all free carry....so i am comfortable with my decisions.....i have never made a secret of my interest being south america. when the rns lands this will decide if i stay or go in terms of investing . having said that cerp has been a great share to trade and will probably continue to do so.

koot CV was impressive which is what got everyone excited. however his results at CERP have fallen short of the hype so far. he has shown himself to be a good salesman - just hasnt delivered

just because someone made a huge success at one company doesn't mean it is a guaranteed at another. its a bit like football managers - some are best with an unlimited budget other at making a silk purse . The assets were obviously better at the other company maybe the team too....

i still give him the benefit of the doubt...and I think he could show his true pedigree with south america...but every dodgy tweet does send alarm bells that i wasnt expecting looking at his cv

daltry - i have been long in this share for many years. I have always liked the story. currently about £110k which makes the drip drop rather painful.

I have also done some trading which to be honest has proved more successful. in hindsight i missed quite a few opportunities
