lgo - in the presentation i seem to remember he said "imminent" and then corrected himself to 1-2 months . which at the lastest should be end of august. however this has obviously dragged on and so as ross says there is always the possibility of slippage. I would not be surprised to see it take longer. Though again you would have to question koots use of tweet and then the wording imminent

the danger though is not being in when the news drops. As always with AIM it is timing and trying to line up your different plays.

rossanan - i don't know much about trinity. As i said i was never interested in trinidad oil production companies. I prefer the stories at hur/eco/rbd/coro.

I do wish you all the best though. The market is quite tough at the moment - but hopefully we all make money whatever strategy we choose.

scarface - you seem to be like a dog with a bone on this and i am not really sure what point you are trying to prove. Maybe you are trying to deflect from my point about the 2 year downward pattern ? That has worried me much more than any intra day movement.

it is probably best to listen to my words rather than trying to understand a subtext that isnt there. I think i have been very transparent on what my intentions/thoughts etc are. it might not be popular but at least i am being honest. yes i am interested in intraday movements because i have an interest in loading up at 3p for the announcement of SA. Depending on the details of the deal i will then either top slice or keep all. As for worrying about fluctuations you are completely wrong. I love massive fluctuations especially if there is news due that should ultimately give a rise in SP - as it gives an opportunity to trade.

i think that statement you quoted was quite frankly obviously a flippant joke...OK i understand that the written word can give potential to be misunderstood . However I think i have explained everything enough already to put that too bed. I certainly do not have the time to keep going over it.

I would take that!....really depends on koot's deal and the sentiment he generates - and how the macroeconomics are at the time.

i only put another £10k in the other day (bringing my total to £19k ) as I am awaiting news on other shares and dont have so much free cash to invest at the moment - as soon as i did the price went from 2.98 to 3.15 so I wouldn't have bought more anyway. hopefully the news will come this week and then i will be ready with spare cash should the buy price drop to 3p again..

I would like to get to £40-£50k by the time South America news hits. Hopefuly a good uplift in SP so that I can generate a decent free carry.

Scarface I ever said I was worried about the intra day movements. I keep an eye out to load up at 3p which is the price I want to buy at. I thought we had been talking about the price fall over the last two years. That is a long time regardless of whether it is a fivve year plan or not. I doubt anybody who bought in at a higher price is happy.

strange thing to say?.....SP is the name of the game. It is my only interest. I am here to make money.

it is how SA will affect the SP that is my only concern - my hope is that it will transform

scarface - my interest was never in swp. I got interested in the story of koot in South America. Depending on that will determine how long I stay.

the thing is that if 1000bopd had been achieved and kept up then the next targets would have presumably been 1500 etc etc....so the momentum might have been kept up. not neccessarily in a straight line but as an overall. as it is it seems that we might not be able get anywhere near 1000bopd from existing wells.

also sentiment works both ways. the hype carried the SP to 7p but i feel the SP is now suffering from sentiment and not getting the traction it might have got from the news due.

scarface - well then lets hope the next 2 are better than the last . whilst we dont expect it to go up in a straight line it has been going in the wrong direction pretty consistently. Hopefully that is going to change soon.

one of the milestones given was supposed to be 1000bopd by the end of last year. And whilst we managed to hit this on new year's day the every day production is still a long way short of this. Koot has to be judged on his performance

scarface - whilst the large investors might not be concerned with intraday movement - they will or should be concerned with the 2 year performance graph. they invested to make money after all. koot needs to deliver. under promise and overachieve were his words I believe.

sujood - any money you invest in DOR will surely be lost. what exactly attracts you to dor?
we probably all got in because of kimmeridge jam - billions i tell ya!-- but that doesnt look like it is going to happen

suprise surprise greenland scam has not progressed - but that was never the intention was it?

butler - this was the possible jam tomorrow play - however the deadline has gone with no sign of DOR being able to fund it - not really a surprise. Rey have been struggling to sell this project for awhile. but surely they must realise funding isnt going to come from dor. dont see much point them extending the deadline

Anyone look g today could see the price dropped below 3p. Two £10k buys stopped the rot and it went up. One was mine. But yeah your snide remarks obviously did more.

I will be buying more if the share goes down again to 3p...so you can think of me as a bit of a support line.

Ross- interesting point about why do away with quarterly updates as we want more not less news and info - that was my I itial reaction too. However I think what he might be trying to do is get back to unpredictability so that people stay in rather than try to time entry and exit strategy. I certainly want to be heavily in when south America is announced as that is why I got involved in first place.

However that is fine if there is continuous and regular progress being made. Otherwise the sp will drift anyway.

I have my £9k free ride and waiting for a 3p entry for a bigger stake to load up waiting for SA. I think that should be achievable in one or two weeks.

The problem is that they have no cash and the shares they own have taken a hammering. The projects in Oz either will be too expensive or too risky. Hard to see what anyone can do with it now. They would have to bloody genius and I doubt if that was the case as they wouldn't have got involved in first place

rossannan - i took from the long video that there would be no more quarterly updates - RNS would be released along the journey. he did say a series of RNS before acquistion and a series before exploration drill. Though i would rather see meaningful RNS than they just being released for the sake of it and to prop up the SP. he said that Income in Q2 was expected to be the same as previous quarter.
So I think you will be denied your opportunity.

Whilst the predictability of RNS has offered trading opportunities - i think it is the slowness of any meaningful action that keeps dropping the SP. production rates have not been in align with the under promise over deliver motto. South America and exploration seems to have taken longer than expected. The gloss has certainly been rubbed off koot.

My guess is that South America will be announced mid-late August...so I can see the SP drop down with stagnation before a rise in anticipation and hopefully a great deal to uplift the SP. So there should be one or two more trading opportunities for anyone interested.

Unfortunately a lot of the initial momentum seems to have been lost with CERP - lets hope a good deal and drill results will kick start it again
