if there were an issue of free options to or the bod had been buying shares (that they were supposed to buy in placing / open offer) then i would believe more in a takeover rumour ....i suspect a bounce off the bottom / no liquidity and of course people are happy to pump the price before dumping.

good to see a nice rise for any existing holders - i suspect if it were true that people could not buy yesterday with a mere 60 trades (or so) all day - that liquidity had dried up. seemed like MMs were not even bothered to make a market

not been that many trades today either (180 on lse but 15 min delay) so that would indicate to me that the bottom has been reached and it has bounced off it

you can always withdraw cash from an ISA if you need it

val - i was expecting a bit of a drop tbh..as anyone who holds outside an isa sells to crystalise a potential CGT loss to ofset against any profits in other shares.
i think give it a couple of days and there will be more buys in isas etc

in my opinion the LSE will not want to lose future russian business. there has been the usual virtue signalling but this conflict will end and big business will want back in on the russian money and resources.
i can see the suspension being lifted at the end of the war and evraz trading outside the indices like poly and pog.

yes the tracker funds will have to sell out but there will be more than enough retail wanting an opportunity of a lifetime to buy a ftse 100 type company at a fraction of the price

the good thing about being locked in - is that deramping does not make any difference.
is there a risk? of course but anybody dealing with shares on AIM has faced that. this time you don't have to worry about the company/management/resource - the risk is the lse itself. however they are aware uk investors are involved and will have to be careful they do not do anything that means they can be sued.
evraz won't want to lose their uk listing - so personally it is just a question of tucking the shares in the drawer and hoping the war end soon for the ukrainians.

skin in the game from the directors is always a better sign - they believe in the value that can be added. they are also more aligned with shareholders.

my suspicion is that 3.5p ish is possibly the bottom for the moment..so prob just a slight bounce up and down around the 3.5-4.5p range. until something newsworthy comes along or a significant coordinated pump and dump

I am sure that is technically honest and true - as they have not been informed.
one would like to hope the company do have a suspicion on what products/services Bio are after.

it is interesting that they were going to purchase a few shares as part of the placing / open offer. it was a pitiful amount and no doubt for show and to get it over the line.
.now it is cheaper than the placing and they seemingly still do not have enough faith in the company or their ability to buy in. if they won't why should people buy in or average down?

i have been quite clear when i have been in and out. if you don't believe it - fine. i really don't care so don't waste your time. I am not in...never say never but I don't think i would ever get back in. certainly not unless there was a change in management. if i have learnt one lesson in the last year it is that when you invest in a share - you invest in the bod not just the product.

i repeat i got involved because of the gov contract - i was not interested in the other tests - that does not mean i thought they had a bad portfolio. i always thought they had a good portfolio. but i would not have invested in odx because of the previous poor sales of the portfolio.

question for you - you have bought more to average down. even your top ups must have lost value?

mip - there is a market in food intolerance tests - if you remember over the last year i have said that odx had a very good portfolio. the issue is in their ability to sell enough of any of their products to make a profit
they made their first mistake in trying to sell food intolerance tests to the chinese - surprise surprise they sold one batch and then orders dried up...really? could they not guess that would happen? really?

trying to sell in usa for a company with a very poor sales team seems to me quite challenging.

unless in your contact with the bod they told you something ? you did contact them right? i mean you are invested so you would want to know right?

I do agree we take responsibility for our own actions. I think the main problem was trusting the bod to be competent ...at least enough to read and understand the contract. The fact that they didn't realise it had expired until almost 2 months later...says our trust was misplaced

I think most people lost money trusting odx to be able to sell a test in a pandemic with a gov contract. That clearly did not work out so now we are supposed to trust them to be able to sell a food intolerance test in USA...ummm what could possibly go wrong ????

Ummm. So we are depending on an imaginary bid for the company? Anyone interested in buying odx..and I don't know why they would be..certainly not the management /sales/ PR team...only has to wait a few months until they have burnt through the little cash they have..they will be able to pick it up a lot cheaper.

So you have changed your tune from this highly profitable growth company to relying on a imaginary take over bid at 9p.

I suspect the company you keep mentioning must have had something to attract a buyer at such a high price when they were making a loss..
If not odx needs to get in touch!
