Not much depth at all but it all adds to getting 4D's name in front of people.

Most notable thing really was that they mentioned the other drug they previously developed and why they wanted to do something that had better safety profile. DP mentioned similar at the start of the ladenburg thalmann conference yesterday. This article and yesterdays conference are the first time I've really heard them specifically link their past drug development experience and the inherent toxicity issues to the safety aspect of using microbiome.

As for contrasting 4D with federation bio, I wouldn't read too much into that. They weren't contrasting in terms of how far along the companies are in the development pipeline etc, it was was clearly just about the approach being taken. Some like 4D argue for single strain and others such as federation have chosen the consortia route.

At the end of the day, regardless of the route taken, the more companies and interest there is in the field the more chance there is of microbiome therapeutics breaking through into the mainstream.

Personally, I'd rather they only announce things when they are signed on the line. If it's not a done deal then don't put make the info public, regardless of how much shareholders are demanding you do so. Doing so would be stupid.

Daz, where do you get half the year timeline from. It was only less than a month ago in the H1 report that they stated they are working on the best means by which they can disclose the order book and commercial pipeline.

Perhaps but on balance of probabilities I doubt it. It's not the first time they've shorted 4D nor are they the only firm to have shorted 4D. On this occasion there was unrealistic belief and opportunism by some that the nasdaq listing would itself be enough to cause a rerate of sorts and when that didn't occur and the disappointment set it in (see the lack of buying volume) it gave fertile ground for shorters.

Also, on a sector level consider that back in April S&P global reported that the healthcare sector and biotech companies in particular were the most shorted stocks. Analyst reasoning being that the rotation of money into stocks set to benefit from economies reopening coupled with increased US federal scrutiny of the healthcare sector had lead to shorters considering that healthcare stocks were the safest shorts. I've not seen a more up to date report for the last 3 months but in terms of the kind of stocks where investor money is flowing nothing has changed, nor has the US administrations focus on scrutinising healthcare.

lejlo, if you read this morning's rns it states that ilika intends to publish and send a circular to shareholders about the open offer on or around 12th July. In other words you'll get the answer to your question on the 12th.

Even if they could amend the submittal to the fda there would be no point, it's one study for that particular use and it's small numbers at that. It's a starting point that requires further investigation for the particular use described.

All angle need to do is what they've been doing, cross their I's, dot their T's and keep their eyes firmly on the long-game.

Given how underpriced 4D is compared to it's peers and all the hugely promising work it's doing, those shorting are taking a big risk as they have no idea when that transformational rns will land.

As hmm said, it's standard practice not to announce ahead of time. 3 other companies I'm invested in have done similar in recent months.
Whether you previously invested below the placement price or above it, if you are in it for the long-term then it's very hard to see how you'll not be well rewarded as ilika is very well placed to be at the centre of the energy transition.
If you bought above the placement price and were in it for the very short-term hoping to trade on momentum, that's the chance you take, suck it up and carry on.

Perish the thought that investors and the company's business model should have to provide the capital for it to operate and grow as a business ;)

Held for several years and one of a small handful of British companies that I plan on continuing to hold for the long-term.

I couldn't care less, he's entitled to do so and it's not like he's not committed to the company or no longer has skin in the game. The only thing I'm interested in is the long-term performance of the business. Today's drop in the SP won't even register as a blip when you look at a long-term timeline.

Not remotely interested in them selling out anytime soon, it would undervalue the potential of the company too much.

If people keep refusing to value it properly compared to its peers I wouldn't be surprised to see them delisting from aim and going nasdaq only.

The UK markets are generally a poor place for companies involved in the medical scene to be listed. Institutionally there's a gaping lack of sector expertise and the uk investment environment in general tilts heavily towards short-term thinking. A 7% increase yesterday is too tempting for the short-termers to not trade on and take profit to psychologically comfort themselves.

The fund raise was completed on 1st July, it’s been spouting its commercial since the back end of 2019 and at that point it was saying how positive the customer feedback was. So, were are the orders, when will there be a revenue stream. £31m will not go far and if revenue does not flow soon all their hot air will count for zilch. With COVID around there will be no motor show in 2021. Take the money and run, lots of better opportunities out there.

Jakey, you need to find a way to dampen down the niggling gremlins in your head. At the end of the day confidence in our investments is down to us and what we tell ourselves, don't put yours in the hands of pr, spin, and a variable (share price) that in the short-term has nothing to do with the operations and performance of the business and everything to do with noise.

The communication from Angle is far better than many small companies. Some go for constant daily spin and pr but any company reliant on such practices probably doesn't have solid foundations to begin with. Angle is doing everything right in terms of their diligence with building the evidence base and securing solid financial backing etc. The best hedge any long-term investment has is time - give Angle that and based on the evidence coming out in favour of parsortix I don't doubt you will be well rewarded.

You noted in a previous post that you are novice investor, so when you say in your post here that you are a long term investor in Angle presumably you mean you have bought in the recent past with the intention of holding for the long-term?
