The sooner solid state batteries come to the fore the better. One of their key benefits amongst many is that they will be far easier to recycle than current conventional liquid electrolyte batteries.

Except it wasn't just a rehash of already known about results was it. It was further post-hoc analysis that showed previously unknown about structural changes in the gut microbiome.

They would have thought that structural changes might have occurred off the back of the previously announced results and initial post-hoc analysis, without doing the further post-hoc analysis though it would have been nothing more than supposition. Theories are great but facts and knowledge are better.

Robins, the comment they make about an upcoming expected first approval wasn't in reference to 4D themselves. They note in the article that seres have stated their intention to apply for approval of SER-109 during 2022.

Edc, then ignore their views but pay attention to the factual information as they have posted quite a lot the last few months. Factual is factual regardless of whether someone likes the messenger or not.

On the financing front, don't forget that if 4D's strategy is to partner up for blautix phase 3 and onwards then that could quite easily see upfront payment sometime next year. They won't have to wait another 12 months for answers to the questions they have put to the fda and could quite conceivably have a partner lined up and waiting in the wings. Such a scenario would obviate future dilution concerns.

Dave, in areas such as oncology where the conditions are life threatening companies can get accelerated approval after phase 2, that's the point of accelerated approval. It negates the need for completing phase 3 before getting the product into clinic. They then run confirmatory studies whilst the product is being sold. If the confirmatory studies aren't positive the product can be pulled from sale, if it is positive full approval can be granted.

Yes DP’s presenting style could be better but putting style and dare I say its close friend, cult of personality, top of the priority list is what led people to invest in Elizabeth homes and theranos. You can polish a t*rd of a product and company all you like, it’s still a t*rd. The business world is littered with such examples.

Whether you like how DP comes across in interviews or not, believe he has substance or not, as co-founder and with him at the helm as ceo 4D have developed a sector leading pipeline, a sector leading IP portfolio and several leading global companies and institutions have chosen to partner with them.

Someone once said that “In the short run, the market is a voting machine, but in the long run, it is a weighing machine.” It’s a good analogy. My bet is that given time and when SO is done selling and the hedgies piggybacking him, the weighing machine scales will move in 4D’s favour.

Investing in a company like 4D is high risk/potential high reward. Make up your mind, buy, sell or stick and then get on with life. It’s too short and there’s too much good stuff to be doing to spend time worrying about things you can’t control.

They don't need fda approval to do phase III, that's not what they are waiting on the fda for

I concur on liking their approach, I much prefer the calm understated competence and confidence they project compared to the brash arrogance often seen over the pond.

I've no idea what the majority would do dave. I can only speak for myself and I would consider accepting £3 as nothing more than taking a small short term profit gain because of the fear of uncertainty inherent with playing the long game.

As for dilution, it's not always a bad thing is it. If it happens at a price no less than that at which you invested and/or it ultimately results in growth that makes up for the value lost with dilution, it's all good.

It's not just about giving approval for a simple blood draw though is it, that's simplifying the situation to say the least.
