Always found the best source for short position updates is the fca themselves. Daily update is available as excel spreadsheet download showing current disclosures (end of previous business day) plus there's a 2nd tab for historical disclosures.

Sangi, you might be interested in looking at the work of a company called physiomics. They are a very small British oncology consultancy that specialises in mathematical modelling (aim listed- 6M mcap). They've worked with Merck previously and last month singed a new short term contract to support the development of cancer treatment regimes with a particular focus on dna damage and repair.

Not relevant to 4D but you're obviously interested in digging into the industry and looking at what people are doing.

That's not an argument against the hydrogen industry in its totality and those articles don't do that either.

John hempton the guy who founded Bronte isn’t daft. That being said they obviously don’t get all calls right and their recent record by any metric is terrible.

As crocqman noted it’s only an potentially an issue if they keep increasing or others jump onboard.

Jack, I’m sure you know this but there are two types of claims - untested and false. An untested claim is one for which evidence is not yet available either way. A false claim is something stated as fact but which evidence is available and refutes.

As far as what porky wrote goes, he didn’t claim to know anything. He wrote “my best guess is” and “imo”. In other words what he wrote was an opinion i.e. an attitudinal statement that can be debated.

Whether someone has posted twice or two hundred times is irrelevant. I think most talk nonsense but it's a public board so if you don't like what people say do what you always recommend to others, use the filter.

Sounds like you are straying into negativity bias coldbrew if you don't mind me saying. Trying looking at the situation from a different perspective, rather than seemingly focusing on what's not been said and allowing that to drive your thinking try focusing on what has been said.

In the updated corporate deck at the end of the mrx0518 section, they note "Further engagement with regulators regarding registration-targeted studies"

Then ask yourself this question - what are the odds or how likely is it that they would mention targeting further engagement with regulators about mrx0518 registration-targeted studies if their most advanced mrx0518 trial, the one that they know everyone is waiting on the update for, was going badly?

We won't know the definitive answer to the question until we do. As someone who works in industry however spanning biotech + medtech, my money is firmly on my belief that they wouldn't mention anything about registration targeted studies if the keytruda trial was going badly.

Wake me up when we have the answer.

I suspect it's probably a fund or two trading rather than PI's but either way it is what it is. With continued good management and the bit of luck that every company needs the long-term prospects should be bright.
