Director Buys of very significant value, Major Contract wins, 'Overall' strengthening macro economic conditions underpinning future growth. A very strong recovery prospect as we're seeing with the continuous positive Newsflow and looking good for another Broker Upgrade announcement imho.

I think there are some heavy trades that have been reported after hours and eeoneously listed as Buys rather than Sells. I don't see that as a major problem as Institutions have their own criteria for investment and often work towards other agendas than those of smaller investors ex reconciling their own balance sheets for profit notifications. What's more telling are the significantly large Director Buys along with the multiple Contract wins, Rerating and improving (overall) Macro economic factors. I believe the only thing surpressing a re-rating of the share price now is some larger scale offloading, for which we'll hopefully have an RNS to quantify its scale and perhaps make a reasoned guess to its negation in said price suppression. Regardless, we are maintaing a reasonable support above 500p, with a good likelihood of inward investment from other Institutions as the investment case improves even further. That's my speculative viewpoint on the current price action but my focus is much more towards the bigger picture playing out here and the prospects for very significant increases in Shareholder value going forward and beyond the very short term rimeframe. Higher highs & Higher lows, with consolidation around higher points.....and underpinned by new Contracts, Significant Director Buys, Macro economics etc. A solid recovery stock imho - dyor etc

They say BUY when others fear to, but that can be a two edged sword with some companies not displaying any underlying reasons to support a recovery However, the factors for such a recovery and hence optimism are more clearly aacertained, hence a remarkable opportunity at this stage to realize significant Shareholder value off said recovery. That's also further underpinned by a more robust macro economic environment. I'm building up my holding in staged purchases, having increased my overall holding today by another 30%. Certainly looking very good indeed for said recovery imho."

and we've also had the Moodys upgrade - the writing for recovery is there.

Very significant and certainly positive for significantly increased inward investment into the stock, especially from larger potential institutional buyers. I'll be looking to increase my own holding level on a staggered basis in the coming days.

I think the pertinent question here is the EXTENT & PRICE LEVEL the placing will be at. There are a lot of unknows here and the lack in defined timescales due to blocks at the Govt level is one obvious one. Like everyone else here, I don't know what price any placing will be at, although I would reasonably guess it would be significantly below todays closing price - I could be wrong or an alternative funding arrangement may be negotiated - but I'm guessing it'll be an initial placement at least. If / when they do get this sorted out, we could indeed be in for a spectacular rise. However, there are significant obstacles to surmount before then both financial & beauracratic. The massive capex requirements themselves that are daunting to say the least. In the very short term and given the late RNS wont have seen a wude communication of the news, I can only see another significant drop in the share price. Maybe I'm wrong but tomorrow may be very uncomfortable for those still holding. Gl all

Glad I'm out too....that late RNS also perhaps gave certain (better informed of the situ) individuals the opportunity to exit at others expense. Many wont have seen it yet and I dread to think what impact it'll have on the share price tomorrow - hopefully it'll find some support for those still holding but equally we may revisit the single digit shareprice of some time ago. I don't know (obviously) but have my own view of the most likely scenario. Atb all

The 'potential' upside here is very compelling but the more tangable (confirmed) funding requirements make this a much less attractive proposition in the short term. The magnitude of requisite funds for actual development of the power plant, beyond shorter term working capital requirements, compounds the issue. Will wait and see how extensive and at what price any future Placings are proposed. Atb all

I see the progression and reinforcement of an uptrend, underpinned by operational progress as evidenced in recent RNSs. That also agrainst a backdrop of improving macro economic factors to significantly advance the shareprice over time. Excellent investment prospect imho which independent research should substantiate.

Maybe now try to focus on the specific investment case, which presents a very compelling opportunity for significant upside / shareholder value.......as well as an opportune entry into a high yield dividend stock. The blind will be the blind as far as Asfari is concerned but I still accept their investment decisions nonetheless. Atb

Refer to my 09:42 post! Nothing further to add as my opinion is as stated.

I didn't suggest that and please note that I am invested here and have every confidence in this stock delivering very significant shareholder value. My point was in addressing the view that certain individuals were putting forward ie Asfari's bought in a very large amount of stock through his investment vehicle, hence we can expect 'immanant' transformational News - that patently can't be the case as it would likely constitute insider trading. To suggest such is to present unrealistic investor expectations rather than focusing on the other known developments and general advancenent, which should underpin a progressive and significant rise over time. The implications of 'insider dealing' naturally led to my own expression of what I think of Asfari, which as clearly stated, is diffrrent from my very positive expectations regarding the Company. Apart from the tremendous growth prospects here, this stock also presents a great opportunity at these prices, for those looking to build up a healthy dividend bearing portfolio, to service passive income requirements. I'm totally bullish on Petrofac, whilst being less enthusiastic about Afari. I hope that clarifies things - atb to all.

As I clearly stated previously, this isn't about Petrofac as an investment - I think it's a very compelling stock and set for a strong price recovery in the coming months. This is about Asfari, who I have issues with regarding his previous actions as stated. I would much prefer someone else at the helm, who would no doubt steer this Company in the direction its going anyway ie Upwards. I own stock here so feel validated in offereing those views, whilst still seperating my opinions of Afari from the underlying investment case. Atb
