jtan - covid cases to top 1 trillion, you say? Thank God I'm still safe in my bunker. Not looking forward to next weeks heatwave, as the air-con is on the fritz, and I'm already starting to whiff a bit (no shower).
Please let me know when it's safe to come out (if ever) - I'm getting a bit low on baked beans and toilet paper (those two things are inextricably linked).
As for the share price - a small rise today - so that almost certainly means a drop tomorrow. Hope I'm wrong.

How low can they go? I wish I had the answer (obvs). All I know is that if you had said to me in February, when EZJ was about £7.30 and IAG nudging £1.80, that they would be where they are today, I would not have believed you - so who the hell knows what is possible going forward. After the last 2 years I feel like I am living in a parallel universe where literally anything is possible.

Potty - I blame todays drop on you. The lack of a "top tip" over the last day or two has clearly rattled the market.

jtan - I know. I realised just the other day that a 50%+ rise would only get us back to where we were in February. Extremely depressing. I guess we just have to hope that it can rise just as quickly as it plummeted. I'm not optimistic, but what can you do except be patient and hope for the best - not easy after the last 2 1/2 years.

Hi Bobbins - hope you are OK. Don't feel too bad - I think that anybody invested in IAG over the last year or two has probably been driven slightly mad by now - or is definitely mad for expecting anything different. All the best.

Well I have just tuned the BBC breakfast news programme on (again) - and guess what the lead item is (again)?
So it turns out I am stone cold bonkers/ mad as a box of frogs. To be fair, I had suspected it for a while, and for those who know me, it will merely confirm their suspicions.
On the bright side, this is the second day out of three that I have been the first person to post. I am extremely impressed with myself ( possibly another sympton of madness).

jtan - difficult to disagree. Things that have happened/ are happening (and not just here) do seem to rather suit the whole climate change agenda. Somewhat convenient. Who was it that said the difference between a conspiracy theory and a conspiracy is about 6 months.
Anyway - I see that we are now up about 2.5% (to the giddy heights of 110 plus). Not one to brag - but this is almost certainly down to me and my first post of the day, which sparked an opposite trend in the price. You're welcome. If I can be arsed to get out of bed, I will try to repeat this on Monday.

Check me out - this must be the first time I have ever had the first post of the day. Anyway, I have already made my first mistake of the day - turning on the news on TV. And as I gaze bleary-eyed at the screen, what is the first thing I see? An image of a BA plane accompanied by a blizzard of negative reporting around delays, disruption, strikes, staffing issues etc. etc.
Honestly, the relentless bad news around the whole industry, which seems to have been going for over 2 years now, ever since Covid arrived, is quite extraordinary. If I wasn't an investor it would be comical. Unfortunately, I am.
