I am, Topo, I am - keeping the faith, that is. Fact is, I don’t have any option. The only other thing of note, to me at least, is that more than 53% of CCL shares are owned by institutions like pension funds etc. So, the price fluctuations are down to trading in about 45%.

The history of the share price makes interesting reading. It seems to move contrary to any accepted norms.

Why did it reach such dizzying heights, £9.40, recently only to drop back now to below £8 when, effectively, nothing has really changed? The debt is being managed and ships are full across the fleet. I would almost be willing to bet that the price will drop further if the Q1 results are better than expected.

I still maintain that the price is being manipulated but cannot see how - or even why.

So, after the encouragement of yesterday, we drop back down again today?

Yes, if any left we have used it to buy Ridley or a watch. Have given up trying to find stuff for grandchildren as they have rucksacks, hats and other stuff they never use, I suspect, as it’s not the right brand. We on 3 got a couple of those self-rotating globes. Can’t remember the brand. The one we gave to son-in-law and daughter has a bubble in it now so needs repairing.

Our world is still turning, though.

We used to enjoy flying but some years back, it became excruciatingly painful for Mrs B owing to ear problems however long or short the actual flight. She could still manage So’ton to Edinburgh on Flybe (turbo prop, not jet) but they have now gone down for the third and probably last time. So, we do round trips from Southampton. Limits our choices a bit!

Agree this must rebound sometime.

They have been saying that about their days each day for the last week. Can we believe it.

Despite IAG’s performance there seems to be some other influence at play. One of the shorters reduced their position a tad on Wednesday. I hope they know something!

If previous patterns are followed, there will be a significant dip after NYSE opens.

CCL price going nowhere at present except marginally down - but I suppose that is better than hugely down!

Crikey! And here I am worried about my 2,600+. I am at least “plus” when the price is over £7.90.

I saw a report that said the author - an ex BoE monetary committee member, I think - expected inflation in the UK to down to 2% by November. Don’t suppose that will help CCL, though. My thoughts and sympathies are with you (and me, of course!).

CCL got up to nearly £8.45 this morning. It just seems it cannot hang on to early, or any, gains.

Yes, I saw the RR jump - and that is only on the basis of a plan, which could fail!

Carnival has solid reason to at least hold steady. The shorters haven’t really changed their positions since the price was quite well below this level. It does smack of manipulation, though.

Gotta hang in there, myself and sounds like you have to, too.
