P & O getting some flak for their partnership with a Malta based no-frills airline to get passengers to the Caribbean. Single class cabin and no entertainment on a nine-hour flight? Hardly a great start to a holiday.

I don’t think the improvements in wi-fi on Cunard and P & O will make up for that!

Arcadia is doing a Med cruise early November and seems half-empty, though. Is everyone waiting for the refit? Having sampled a new ship, the oldies do look pretty tired. Not sure what P & O will/can do about it.

Interview with Paul Ludlow on Thisismoney. He is unsurprisingly upbeat. Average age on P & O is now 46 and trending down! So, his strategy seems to be paying off as ships are pretty full, too.

I think the announcement on 29th will cover off a lot of the issues mentioned below and might well surprise us with a revised debt repayment timetable. CCL SP doesn’t react to oil price, much to EC’s consternation when it was dropping! £15 by March, £20-25 by December are my guesses, always provided the latest COVID variants don’t play havoc again but we should get warning of that, I think. Besides, I have had my booster lat week!

£15 or £20 would be my guess by then, too. Clearly, £20 more acceptable than £15!

If only NatWest would appoint a new, rated, safe. CEO, it might dig its share price out of the hole it has got into.

Carnival have already announced the results day on their website - no need for a smartass algorithm!

Some AI to predict the share price might be better. If you use the scoring method for Olympic diving, i.e. ignoring the two best and worst then average the remainder, you get quite a good hike in the share price. Even without that, they are looking at +25% which would be very good. Some are predicting £15 anyway after 29th.

Yes, we felt it was almost Marie Celeste-like. We also got some looks that seemed to say “Why haven’t you got off?”

Mind you, if we had got off, we could have come home and done some washing, opened Mail, etc., etc. as we live only half an hour from S’oton.

Welcome home you two. Sorry to hear about casino disasters. Mind you I daren’t go near the place myself. I get the hebejeebies if CCL moves down. In any case, I know from bitter experience that you can swing from winning to losing in the blink of an eye.

I guess, BJ, that you will end up in Rotterdam as Amsterdam has banned all cruise ships.

We found that in doing a “back-to-back” that with hindsight we should have got off in S’oton. We only discovered later that we would not have had to go through the usual channel to hugest back, we could have used the crew entrance, apparently.

Carnival have just confirmed that results will be released on the morning (US time, I assume) of 29th September with a simulcast at 15:00 BST to discuss the numbers.

Let’s hope they exceed expectations.

We love Cadiz! You can walk around it in half an and get lost in the back streets.

Like many, or most, CCL shareholders, I am in for the long haul. As Topo says, everything seems to be suffering at present. My bête noir is NatWest. Hope the new chair/CEO can get them back on track.
