Lon and behold the opening of NYSE does it yet again! Slow gains through the morning/lunch here only to be shafted at 14:30. Granted, still above opening. And now an apology for sounding like a broken record. Impatience/frustration getting the better of me.

I notice QRT have reduced their short position by about 50% over the last days. Is this a good sign?

There may be a small light at the end of the tunnel. Inflation looks to be really slowing so interest rates may have peaked, with the rise to 6% here not now needed.

Of course, it could be a longer tunnel than feared and that light is a train coming towards us but still a bit further away.

So, the US kicks us in the nuts again after a slow rise during the day as far as £11.25 it then tanks back to £11.05, pretty much where it started.

Oh well, 😜

Hi Bot, only to remark that the gains made earlier in the day are, of course, dribbling away. Standard performance for CCL. Not optimistic about what will happen when NYSE opens.

Yes, true. My personal position is up 37% so I don’t mean to sound whinging (unlike the Aussies about the football!).

NatWest has also dropped yesterday’s gain.

Oh well, wet play day, today, grandad. Back to the modelling workbench after lunch.

In total, that’s nearly a 30% drop over the last couple of weeks.

Not a clue Fordy, but what has happened to cause the share price to drop by £2 over the last 10 days or so? That is 17.5%. There is no explanation that I can see that makes any sense other than the analysts, brokers and market makers simply don’t like CCL - along with other travel companies but them not so much. Just got to hand in there - again!

I also remember my mum and dad’s first phone was a “party line”. If you picked up the receiver and could hear people speaking you to replace it and wait.

Never did find out who the other party was. I do also remember dad’s frustration saying “they’re on the f******* line again” just before the receiver clicked off.
