You’re very welcome Aangus. We have never been on either Azura or Ventura for the same reason we were anxious about Iona. Have you been on Azura before? I have heard others say they like them.

If other half can be persuaded, we might try Arvia next over her birthday. We are currently booked on Arcadia in July next year and again in May 2025 - that’s after her refit in November 2024.

I know, Fordy, although I don’t tend to look at the NYSE price. Did you see the effect of the NYSE opening at 14:30? A tank in our price, then a spike back to where it was then another tank all in the space of 10 minutes.

Is there any other share so volatile?

Roll on the end of September and the Q3 results - mind you, I hae mi doots aboot what will happen. Still, all jolly fun! 🫣

Funnily enough, Aangus, it looked ginormous from the outside but, opposite to the TARDIS, seemed nothing like so big inside. I suspect because nowhere inside can you see from one end to the other. We had an absolutely wonderful time!

Only two minor niggles: no shaver/charging point in the bathroom and the only really comfortable seats were up in the Crow’s Nest. I think that’s because they want you out in the ship’s shops etc. spending all that OBC.

Staff were all marvellous and happy.

You’re right, I think he did but it was a tad late and tge price dropped. Hopefully, he’s got some or all of that back.Bob course, after yesterday’s small gain, the SP is doing its impression of a brick.

I think, Fordy my friend, that if anyone did understand it, they would be on here sharing it as it would be gold dust.

We’ll just have to carry on hangin’ in there. Bot is probably the nearest we have to anyone who might have an inkling but even he ducked out then failed to jump back in. And he’s gone on his cruise to Norway, Iceland and America now, I think.

So, yesterday Carnival announced the name of their land resort in the Bahamas, due to open next month and the share price………….dropped.

Totally predictable, I suppose. I am confident about the Q3 results but not the effects.

L & G have the best annuity rates at the moment, around 15% better than the next best. How do they manage that?

I see Fordy has the same mindset as me about the afternoon tank. Doesn’t always happen but, like bowl movements, it’s pretty regular. I wonder if there’s a hidden link there?

Well, no surprise that at 14:30 the price tanked, then rose and now is back down again. I hope Sun is tight about September and beyond.

PS I just noticed the SP nearly touched £12 earlier this morning!

Hi Fordy, I have heard the comparisons with Cineworld before and also the JP M comment but there was also another major banker saying that a) the comparison wasn’t valid as Carnival had more tangible assets (Cineworld had only its income to rely on as it leased most of its cinemas) and b) for similar reasons the CCL share price could never hit zero as, even in their worst times, debt was never more than 50% of net assets.

Anyway, partly because of the contradictions, which seemed stronger arguments to me, I have, and am still, hangin’ in there!
