Is that not already priced in? They’ve been banging on about record booking for ages. Like Bot, I really hope the Q4 figures beat expectations. I’m not sure changes in the oil price work through directly into CCL share price.

Anyway, latest increase very welcome. Which way will it go at 14:30+ ?

Small upward movement, Bot although has slipped back very slightly.

Not many trades and not huge volume.

Yes, NatWest is slowly, very slowly, improving. I suspect that cutting Rose’s payoff has helped the sentiment. Farage’s threat to sue can be, quietly, more than bought off with what they will have saved.

The only thing that remains to do is sort out the BoD.

Next dividend due end April and should be fairly good, so will probably hang on til then, at least. Share is grossly undervalued imho.

Price is over £10 at close. I can only advise cautious optimism about where the price goes from here. History shows that it is never simply a smooth upward curve.

PS today is our fish’n’chips day - they do gluten-free at one chippy in town on Mondays and Tuesdays. I am old enough to remember when chip shops we closed on Mondays as the fish wasn’t delivered on Sundays.

Secure notes are, I believe, only available to institutional investors. They will set the terms so, if it’s a company in trouble without sufficient assets (as collateral), the terms will likely be pretty detrimental.

YR, that is nothing to worry about for CCL.

What is the dilution of shares. If, say, 1 for 10, you’ll have to buy the requisite number to keep your value - assuming you get the chance! If the issue is fully underwritten and subscribed, you’d have to buy on the open market.

Anyway, Carnival are the world’s largest cruise line and have a clear strategy and plan for tge next two to three years to get back to “investment grade status” - I’ll let you Google that.

NCLH have also reported a 20% increase in operating costs compared to the same Q last year and also a negative impact of cruises to Israel being cancelled. It all adds up to slightly grim news, sadly.

Bot will put me right if I’ve got anything wrong (likely).

Like K, I bought 100 to start with, when about £9 - on the way down to £4.85!

Bought more at £7.95 when they were on their way up to £13.40. Have hung in there since then so am currently about 15% up. NatWest has taken care of the profit so far. Only affects me if I cash something in.

When are you next away K?
