Hi TT12 I found out it was turned into a nature resolve it appeared on the BBC countryfile programme. Before that refinery I nearly ended up at Ardoyne Point near Glasgow when they built those 3 huge concrete rig legs but I escaped that one :))

Hi TT12 the nearest I got to the North Sea oil was building an oil refinery on the west side of Canvey Island, while we were building it for Iranian oil the design was changed for the higher grade north sea oil. They decided to abandon it and is now a nature reserve, can still see the tank bases on Google earth. That's where I got my interest in oil shares

It's gone below £1 is it a buying opportunity, I'm not sure now, the retail sector seems to be dragging this share down with it. Better opportunities elsewhere at the moment to make a profit (CERP, SOU) . Will keep watching before I get tempted

I thought the share price was holding up quite well over recent days compared to other sectors. Builders used to be straight in the pub with any sign of bad weather, that doesn't seem to happen now, pubs are fairly empty at the moment.

Hi zed. You could be right he is an impressive chairman and I am sure he will sort Persimmon board out, so long as Ralph stays we'll be ok he is the driving force. Looking at wetherspoons it seems the minimum wage increase is the downward pressure there

Hi Tom it is a good price but still not sure what I going to do, made a lot on the last spin off of Sound "Echo" and think it will happen again. I getting a bit jittery with builders losing a bit with GFRD recently

Undecided whether to reinvest the cash from my Tw certificates back into Tw in my isa. It will probably go into Sound energy instead, they doing capital repayment record date 3rd April, exciting share
